Well no shite. After Foley kept stalling and asking for 24 hours here, tomorrow morning there, oh wait nevermind we're going to make a decision at 2. No wait, it's 5 now. The SEC had no choice but to make a decision.

Foley knew what he was doing. You'd have to be a fricking moron to not be able to read between the lines on that.

This is definitely on the SEC because Sankey didn't know that he could tell Foley no. However, your AD refused to agree to any offers made by Alleva to play the game. That's indisputable fact. This is absolutely on Sankey. He's a pussy. But your AD played a big hand in his cowardice being accepted by Sankey

Because the game could've been played in Gainesville. And it should've been played in Gainesville. On Saturday, at noon, as scheduled. There was no reason for Alleva to offer to play it anywhere else because it should've been played in Gainesville. There was no reason to have to refer to a contingency plan, because it should've been played in Gainesville.

And I really think that UF and LSU fans agree with that. The anger should be directed at the SEC, not Florida. They were right- the game could've been played in Gainesville the whole time.

UF didn't want to play THIS game because of injuries, plain & simple.

I couldn't care less when we'd have played you but 11/19/16 should be a huge hell no from LSU.

Why would you play a game scheduled for Gainesville in Baton Rouge?

Because once it is cancelled, it's not scheduled to be in Gainesville anymore. It's about making up the game at that point, not making it up at the location it was scheduled at. That is the past. UF had their opportunity to play it Saturday or Sunday ( or probably even on Monday), but they obviously didn't want to or it would have happened.

This is just simply false. The SEC refused to allow the game to be played in Gainesville.

Florida only wanted the game to be played in Gainesville.

Foley refused to play the game outside of Gainesville.
Alleva refused to play the game November 19th.

Your AD didn't want to play on Monday.

There were no police and emergency responders who would commit to staffing on Saturday and Sunday on Thursday. Alaucha was also a designated evacuation location and we did not want to take up hotel space that could be used for evacuees.

You guys can be extremely distasteful and ignore that a freaking hurricane went through the area, but it does not mean your opinion is grounded in reality.

Alleva said that he had no discussion about rescheduling the game with Florida or the SEC, so they didn't even discuss November 19th.

Alleva lied to save face.

Sankey, Foley, and multiple media outlets reported that November 19th was declined by Alleva. Alleva has no plans to make this game up, because he doesn't want to lose a home game and because he's scared to play three road games in a row.

False. Has yet to be discussed. Keep trying to shift the blame to LSU, though

I can guarantee you it will not be played on Nov. 19th.

I hope LSU budges or the commisioner forces the game so we can see y'all on November 19th in Gainesville.

It's not ideal, but if the SEC buys out South Alabama, pays LSU the $5 mil or so it will take to refund ticket holders and lost income, and push the Texas A&M game back to Saturday, it can work.

ESPN is lying to shift blame to LSU?

Alleva said they didn't even really discuss Monday as a possibility. If it would have come to that, he said LSU would have offered to host.

I'm not being unsympathetic to natural disaster issues, but UF was not the only school affected and the show must go on as the other schools showed that played their games or rescheduled already. Everything does not stop. Things may be changed, but a storm doesn't stop everything.

the SEC refused to have the game on Saturday. Foley wouldn't agree to anything else. Foley would not agree to anything that wasn't an 11 AM kickoff on Saturday. Sankey bitched out and cancelled the game instead of forcing it to be played Sunday or Monday like Slive did in 2005 with the LSU/UT game. This is on both Foley and Sankey

Alleva offered to play on saturday, sunday, or monday in Gainesville. He offered chartered flights and hotels to Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and multiple locations. He offered to play in an empty Ben Hill Griffin. He wanted this game to happen. Foley didn't.

November 19th was not discussed at all. That is a lie.

yes, they are lying, Alleva said, verbatim, it is a lie that November 19th was offered. A random ESPN reporter saying so doesn't mean it happened

Revisionist history is fun !
Because UForfeit now suddenly feels shame and embarrassment.
I'm not sure this is going to work the way you want it to work.
Especially when we can bump threads from last Tuesday and Wednesday that predict this exact strategy from UForfeit.
Just admit it. You and your school are gigantic, cowardly pussies who refused to man up.
You will feel better once you just admit it.
Acceptance, bro. It's a necessary step on the road to Truth.
