Stacked.

We only lost one guy and should be stacked this year which tells me we gonna run the ball until we figure out this years passing game.

Yeah, La'el and Alexander both are legit.

No telling what we will be running for offense by Nov but I am sure Cam will have something up his sleeve. Just hope we have another undefeated matchup in our newly expanded TS!

Just beat the shite out of those damned Aubies for us before we come to town.

Come on down!

Just be quiet when we have the ball. It's a new game I think everyone should try out.

Bama guys love to bring up Kevin Norwood and how he owned LSU and predict that Cam Sims will do the same. I was simply pointing out that Kevin Norwood had a very average career if you really look at his production. The career numbers for Jarvis and Odell were just a reminder of why the great Kevin Norwood had to watch both of these get picked in the 1st and 2nd round of the NFL draft and will sign for millions more in guaranteed money

We also have a new OC now. Nuss was focused a lot on ball distribution. It has been said that Kiffin focuses on his main receiver until the defense proves they can stop him. As long as he stays healthy, I'd look for Cooper to have his best year yet. If Kiffin stays around long enough then Sims may also get to see more success than his predecessors.

Cam Sims may not be a burner, but Jarvis Landry wasn't a burner at the combine either. Sims proved in the UA game that he can get separation from the db.

Hmmmmmm...The thread is about Malachi Dupre

It's really more about LSU and Alabama. As referenced by the ":rivalry:" in the OP.

To be fair, I think Landon Collins is gonna get an interception, leading to an end around on offense with the ball given to Cam Sims, who then runs behind Cameron Robinson (who by the way throws a vicious block on the last line of defense) for a TD.

True. But not for our offense. Led the team with 7 receiving TDs in 213.

I'm sure he managed to console himself when he noticed he had 3 rings compared to ODB and Landry's...oh.

quote:

LSU fans were told we would be sorry for losing Kenny Bell, Raheem Falkins and Cam Sims

One of these things is not like the others.

quote:

I don't think any of them will surpass the production

Of course not. But then again we have more than 2 weapons and spread the ball around to multiple players.

quote:

get picked as high as Jarvis and Odell

If Cam Sims is legit and has solid hands, his build will get him a lot of love. Decent production and a solid combine/pro day will probably get him some love. First or second round? Ehhhhhhhhh second MAYBE in a weak WR class. But who knows?

quote:

I would be willing to bet the rent money that Malachi will have more career receptions than all three of these combined.

I'd hope not if I were an LSU fan. Considering Chi is probably 3 and out, if he surpasses all three of them, it probably means you don't have any other viable options to pass to.

quote:

I hope this is simple enough for you to understand.

Considering your whole argument is about how Bama has more weapons to throw to...

Wow. We could go line-by-line all night and try to dispute each other. I'll just say I can't wait to watch Malachi compete against Marlon and Tony over the next three years.

I'll also say I hope Raheem Falkins and Cam Sims have productive careers at Bama. No sense in sitting on the bench and cheering for Malachi.

How do LSU fans feel about losing Tim Williams out of their backyard?

I don't know how our DL will function without him.

It would be nice to have the hometown guy cheering on the starters from the bench. Will he have more career tackles than Kenny Bell had receptions ? I hope he doesn't waste his talent on the bench at Bama like so many other La. boys have.

You're right, he would fit in well cheering from the bench with the hometown crowd. I will regret that.

So, what you're saying is I poked a huge hole through your hole argument when I brought up how Bama had more viable talent to spread the ball to?

He will. Might not be until next year, but Tim Williams will be a beast on the field. I'll take Saban's talent evaluation over Miles any day and twice on Sundays.

Yeah, Cameron Robinson was the main target though and getting Tim Williams helped wrap that up.

What are you getting at? There are several players LSU signs that are supposed to be the next great thing and don't materialize. Look at Anthony Johnson for proof of a player who had all the hype in the world, a five star status even, but his career at LSU was underwhelming.

Tim Williams showed a lot of promise during spring practice. Just like Cam Sims showed a lot during the UA practices and game. It's silly that LSU fans try to devalue players by saying "we didn't offer them" when Saban's talent evaluation is proven to have better results.

Talent evaluation plays a huge role at schools that are relying on 3 and 4 star players to start, but when Bama is about to have a defense with possibly every starter being a former 5 star, its not like he is picking diamonds out of the rough.

Miles has gotten as much good mileage out of under the radar guys as Saban has, but he has had to take more of those type guys as well due to not quite recruiting at the same level Bama does.
