So the more likely scenario, LSU floated him a contract offer prior to signing day that was really bad. He either threatens to walk or floats a rumor he's walking on signing day and LSU backpedals and gives him a better contract than their original offer.

WTF are you talking about? LSU never said anything about Cameron being gone before last year's signing day. And if someone "leaked" it, what the hell leverage would Cameron have had threatening to walk? Who in the hell would hire him?

There's a lot of smoke out there, some from the A.Dept., that Craig was let go for specific reasons. As noted in other threads, the answer may come from where he ends up next.

It was signing day.
LSU going to win the 2016 national championship in spite of the offense.
His contract was expiring.
His good friend was head coach who by the way LSU tried to fire during the season and botched.
Fans were grumbling and wanted blood.
AD was/is weak.
He gets a 3 year deal for over $1.2 million a year when most of you LSU folks wanted him gone.

Doesn't make it any less trashy

Kind of does though. Trashiness is relative to the norms of the business. If it's common practice it's not trashy but rather just a nature of the business itself. If you have a problem with it, maybe you should get off your high horse or follow a different sport. Far shadier things go on in the inner workings of a CFB program at this level than making a calculated decision on when to fire a coach.

People always think it's the coaches fault when you lose recruits but players are gonna go where they wanna go anyways!

I always hate to see coaches leave or get fired right after Nationals Signing Day, but the recruits should know they need to commit to a college and not a coach.

Coaches move around too frequently for a player to choose a school based on said coach.

The smoke is currently coming from Tuscaloosa.

OK, again, what are you talking about? Where is your information that Cameron was "gone" before signing day last year? And if he was already "gone" in February, why was he still on staff in March when his new contract was signed? Or did he just hang out in the parking lot for a month after being "gone" in hopes that LSU would change their minds?

Sources would be the Nola.com link I originally posted and your radio guys. You can also google it if you want to verify yourself.

Both Les Miles and Cam Cameron have denied the report that Cameron will be leaving LSU.

Baton Rouge ESPN radio host Charles Hanagriff suggested Wednesday that it could happen but did not confirm the news or claim it as 100 percent going to happen.

I'm surprised cajunbama didn't already know that since he follows everything LSU on twitter.

People always reply to posters saying "you have no life" and it most always never means anything. Unless you're talking to Cajunbama. That dude is summed up by a message board forum and kids on Twitter. Kind of pulls at my heart strings when you think about it.
