I'm curious, you must have taken a sabbatical from State when Jackie Sherill was Head Coach?

Classy move! Wait until day after NSD.
LSU already making improvements under O the Coach. At least they managed to hide it from recruits until after signing day. Last year didn't they let it leak that Cam Cameron was gone and then had to run damage control on signing day?

LSU and its coaches can't get through this offseason fast enough.
During a radio broadcast on 104.5 ESPN, station host Charles Hanagriff stated that "to the best of my knowledge, through multiple sources, I believe this to be true," referring to rumors that surfaced at the Bayou Bash on Wednesday regarding Cam Cameron leaving LSU.
Once the rumors surfaced, sources state that Cameron denied them and immediately tried to reassure the 2016 LSU signees that he was staying and the report was "unequivocally false."

Multiple sources continue to state that LSU and Cameron are in talks about extending his expiring contract as the offensive coordinator.

FWIW it literally says on the tigerdroppings home page that D. Craig was fired.
Savage move by O to wait until NSD.

LSU offensive coordinator Cam Cameron's proposed three-year contract extension includes a $300,000 pay cut this season, according to documents in the Board of Supervisors agenda for Friday's meeting.
Cameron, who just finished his third season as offensive coordinator, made $1.5 million last year but his total compensation will be $1.2 million for 2016 on the deal which lasts through 2018. The total salary will increase to $1.25 million in 2017 and $1.3 million in 2018. The contract, added to the agenda on Wednesday, is subject to approval by the Board.
LSU and Cameron agreed to extend the original contract two weeks ago. It was set to expire March 31.

The SECr coaching posts life cycle:
Your team hires a coach - he sucks!
Coach leaves position - stepping stone job! You'll never recover from losing him.
Coach is fired - You'll never recover from losing him, it wasn't classy to fire him at whatever time you fired him. Pearl clutching about the kids.
Coaching search is started - Dumpster fire. You can't replace the guy who left. Done and over.
Coach is hired, start again.

He will end up at Bama as a payback for steering Devonta Smith to Bama.
