Rereading this thread...kudos to you. Apparently being optimistic about our club is still frowned upon, fair enough. I've come to a conclusion about what would be the greatest 'repayment' to the 'owned', 'destroyed' etc crowd. A big hill to climb for sure but...if Coach Saban retires winning the conference a grand total of once due to CLM, that will do it. It will never be admitted, I suppose it couldn't, but relative to Saban/CLM (which is what this really is) I think that would do it. The odds are very unlikely but still possible. The patience of time will tell. In the much bigger CFB picture for LSU it really has nothing to do with UA or any other team. LSU will probably be the favorite to get 6th ATL invite over last 12 years. This is where the club is at, LSU is the team to beat. I think the fans need to start conducting themselves as such, at least till another team makes it routine to compete in ATL. Kudos to Coach Saban for the tremendous job he has done and elevating the standard to the point that even LSU's best team ever (imo) couldn't do it twice. Kudo's to Coach Miles for his accomplishments at LSU and keeping the ball rolling.

LSU has great players, but Bama has Saban. He loses to no one 3 times in a row. You didn't get close in the 2nd game last year. The difference in the National Championship was Nick Saban.
Be Clear, I am not trashing LSU. You are a Great Program with great H.S. players in your State and are tough to beat. I go all the way back to Paul Deitzel. I loved the old LSU 'Walking "I" Formation' back in the day. Jimmy Taylor was a personal favorite of mine!

We will have the best running game in CFB, one of the top 3 defenses, the best special teams, and with a passing game, we will destroy most teams.
I think Alabama was the only team we didn't beat by at least 20 pts last year...and that's because they had and NFL defense and were playing at home.
The rematch was just a ticked off Alabama team... LSU's game plan was eliminated by Bama's preparation and determination
