This is the view that needs to change, imo. Saban has built, and Miles has kept in place, LSU in a spot where they shouldn't measure themselves by another team. I fully understand it's new ground (last 10 years?) but the goal is getting a 6th ATL invite, a 5th CCG, a 5th BCS win...not beating team 'X'. As long as the fanbase uses UA as a measuring stick they will be right and have 'the last laugh'...the 'never will get over it type'...from both fanbases. Having the view of simply looking to ourselves as defining success isn't irrational, escapist or anything of the sort. Just take a longer view than one game...and have a longer view than just one game in the future.

There's a point when messing with someone meets obsession. That's the way it appears to me anyway. I may well be wrong, but that's just the way it looks to me.

Bama knows quite well that they were lucky to get a second chance at LSU. That being said, I agree with the OP. LSU will make it 3 seasons in a row.
Ps. LSU is not ranked preseaon number 1 because of The HB. Its because of us losing the qb that kept us down on Jan 9th.

No no no no no no no no. Wrong. LSU was blessed with the opportunity to be on the same field with Bama again. Haven't you heard? The Lord Saban said they out played us everywhere but the scoreboard in game 1. It was LSU that didn't deserve to be in New Orleans.
