Not that it matters, but did they change the ruling on the INT against Eastern Michigan?

ESPN had him as 4 of 14 for 80 yards (and no INT) in the box score but on the recap it says:

LSU quarterback Brandon Harris was 4-of-15 for 80 yards with one interception.

I didn't see the game so I'm assuming it was initially ruled an INT and maybe later ruled a fumble or something?

I'm just glad Bama has a loss already so when they lose again vs LSU they can't slime ball there way back into the hunt like they did in 2011.

damn this is a good thread without your typical troll posters such as Alabamacracker and allalabamadoesiswin........

we can be realistic......Alabama will be a 7 point favorite or so...and the media will be all over Alabama....but the truth is that this offense is finally an LSU offense that is extremely difficult to plan against.....you get one dimensional and you are a sitting duck for Alabama.....I am amazed that LSU hung as close as they did last year. I honestly hope both teams play their best and truly see if great offense beats great defense...or vice versa.....

Eastern Michigan 120
Auburn 94
South Carolina 84
Syracuse 70
Mississippi St 48
Florida 22

Total defense ranks for the defensive units LSU has lined up against.

I can't even remember...I've slept since then. I know he was hit deep in his on end of the field when attempting to throw....I recall that he fumbled....but I just can't remember honestly.

I love how the whole Harris has 0 interceptions thing is some big revelation.

Then you realized he's played one less game and has thrown the ball 100 times in total this year.

Coker throws one pick per 33 pass attempts. I'll take 100 pass attempts with 0 picks all day long.

what's your point?

Are you saying Florida isn't a good defense. They are 22 now, after they played LSU. They are thought to have one of the best secondaries in the country....they absolutely obliterated Ole Miss...do you remember them? BH was 13/19 with 2 tds and 200+ yards against them.......it was supposed to be the test for LSU.......

Thanks for fricking up a good thread dickhead.

I've looked at this. More telling is the Rushing D and Pass D(Yards allowed) separated. Biggest takeaway to me was that LSU passed some opportunities to put in some serious passing work in favor of brutalizing bad rushing defenses.

That being said, the Florida game. Great balance in that win by LSU against what has been an impressive Florida defense. 200 pass/200 rush.

I'll take your word for it because it doesn't matter. None of this shite matters when the coin is tossed.

Jarrett Lee quivered into Bryant Denny 4 years ago with 13 touchdowns and 1 interception. He tossed 2 in his first seven throws. This will be the first time Harris has gone on the road into a big hostile stadium, sans the Auburn game last year where he was terrible.

Fair enough if somewhat myopic. Coker does throw interceptions. Harris has been in good position to pick his throws and be successful. How do you feel about pass drops?

damn you are good.

They brought Harris along slowly.

Against Syracuse....LSU was close to blowing it open...but honestly, I think we had about 12-14 penalties that kept them in the game longer than we would have liked. A poorly played game, even though LF went wild...plus he had an 87 yard run called back....

Against State.....2 tds called back, and another long play that would have set LSU up nicely in State territory. Game was entirely too close...again, a shitload of penalties.

Eastern Michigan....this game, LSU could have won it and named their score...but they were focused on throwing first.....it wasn't a good game for that...for whatever reason....LF could have had 300+ had Miles wanted to go that direction. The LSU offense works much better with the run setting up the pass...not vice versa....after that game they got down to business with South Carolina and Florida........and have shown a very good trend line offensively....hopefully they will have some focus against Western Kentucky.....and continue that line....although I expect to see a lot of Guice and Williams that game...as soon as LF gets his 100 yards.

spot on, because J Lee and B Harris are the same exact type of QB's....and let's look only at the True Freshmans performance in week 3 of his entire career on the road against a top 5 team at the time........fkn harris is awful...right?

Harris did open this year on the road against a pretty good defense.....in Mississippi St...and despite what you think, he made some very good plays that were unfortunately called back.

I love your logic....but you are all bama, all the time....no one compares to them.....no player is better....no team is better...ever....bama never loses, they only beat themselves. I'm sorry I left you out of the grouping earlier with NorthAlabamacracker and Allbamadoesiswin.......my mistake......you guys are a solid trio.

Bama is at 6 and LSU is at 15. 271.9 ypg to 297.2 ypg. Again, kind of a wash. Both have EXCELLENT run defenses if you go by stats alone.

Going by stats alone doesn't always give a clear picture midseason, since there's typically a disparity in quality of opponent.

Bama has posted an excellent run defense despite playing against Wisconsin, Georgia, and Arkansas. Three teams that are built to run the football.

Another telling stat about the quality of the Alabama rush defense, is that teams just give up on running the ball. Only 4 or 5 schools in the NCAA have more passes attempted against them than Alabama. Pretty absurd considering that 3 of our 7 games have been against pro style attacks

My logic is no different than your logic. You're touting his turnover and QBR numbers as an advantage. I'm pointing out that, that shite really doesn't matter. I then provided an example as to why that shite really doesn't matter.

This is the one that stands out most to me. Run LF7 as much as he wants in the first half, get the score up and then pass. Then again, it's Eastern Michigan. Not easy to get up for these types of games.

Exactly. Bama has to get LSU off schedule and then contain and pressure Harris. All while keeping an eye on LF7.

I've expected to see this in almost every game so far, but LF7 is such a gamer that he just doesn't want to stop, nor does he seem to wear down. Maybe got a little gassed against Florida, but he recovers so fast.

Off topic, I'd love to know what his VO2 max is.

Of all the Heisman candidates I can remember, he most embodies what I imagine a candidate should be. Critical to his team, humble, well-spoken. Seems like a great kid.

I hate the term "melt"

But this is a solid melt. I'm honored to be included in the trio.

Where do you get your numbers? According to ESPN

Total Offense
Bama 25th
LSU 49th
Total Offense

To be fair, that's a skewed stat due to us playing one more game than them

What Baylor is doing is just stupid. Like playing NCAA '14 on junior varsity
