Cool, I was wondering about spots in Alabama though.

So many stats are meaningless and a waste of time.

I look for Harris to have somewhat of a meltdown on Nov 7 due to the raucous home crowd and smothering defense. He will throw at least 2 picks.

Dude, I havent seen such an impartial and rational breakdown like this by either group. Good points all around.

Of course you do. Harris is finally getting the recognition of the draft experts now...calling him the most talented qb in the SEC. Harris is quickly getting into the league with Mett....except with one key ingredient that Mett didn't have...Harris is extremely mobile. Hey, you may be right, Harris may choke bigtime. But his performances this year have shown that he is putting the ball where only the rec can catch it, or he is throwing it away. He has a cannon for an arm. The question is coker. You say that he is good enough. But like Alabama, LSU is very good against the run, with our DL doing well, and Beckwith laying the lumber. Coker has shown that you never know what you will get with him. Alabama has shown they don't play great at home. Are you absolutely comfortable with coker taking over and having to win the game for you because you can't run enough to do so? If so, good....you will sleep better at night. I just like our chances if it comes down to Harris/Coker and LF/Henry. JMO

I've dived Lake Tuscaloosa and the quarry in Pelham quite a bit.

agreed.....you can expect both defenses will be prepared and will play well. It will come down to a few big plays....Will those be from LF or Henry? Harris or Coker? Or, will they be on special teams? Both teams dread special teams...but there is no way bama is worse than LSU here. I can only hope that after every LSU score, bama gets an unsportsmanlike call on saban or something, and LSU kicks from midfield....and on every punt...I can hope that we kick it out of bounds...even if we only net 30 yards....ha....and maybe we can just field every punt with a fair catch?

I can agree with this. I've felt that Les should have given him a heavier load early in the season to prep for the rest of the year. He's got tremendous upside, especially with the Oline and LF7. And all are back next year, n'est ce pas?

I see what you did there.

Is there really a choice here? He has made some absolutely, astonishingly bad throws to nowhere in particular in the first couple of games. The picks, largely and after reviewing the games, have been due to the swinging door that is Bama's pass blocking. He needs to learn to just take the hit rather than fling it up. I've also had the feeling that we are telegraphing more than a little and that defenses are getting the jump on us. You can't question the kid's fire, though. He's made more than a few plays with his feet.

I'll make it easy. Bama..best defense in the country. Lsu..best offense in the sec. That bama front 7 and Oline, relentless secondary.

Bama 35 LSU 6

Harris will be back, along with Fournette, Dupre, Guice, Williams, Johnson, Quinn, Chark....and whoever they bring in of course.

sounds reasonable, the best offense in the SEC is held 14 points below bama's average they give up in SEC play.

Solid pick.

"I also fully recognize that Coker is not good. "

I don't recognize that fact. I'm not saying he's Joe Montana, but the kid has been solid. People that keep trooping out the "Coker is horrible" line have simply not been watching the games.

It's as outdated as the "Bama's secondary is a weak spot".

That's what I've been told. Lot of fans I know have said they were looking to next year and that this year is a pleasant surprise.

I don't think that, at all. I do think I'd like to at least put the ball in his hands to have to win the game....if he can do it, more power to him.

I know all are poking their chest out....but let's be honest...Texas A&M is tailor made for Bama...just like they are tailor made for LSU. That Allen kid was awful. Yes, some of it was due to bama's pressure and a&M's poor OL and lack of run game...but he made some absolutely awful throws...right to defenders that were several yards away from the receiver. You guys might come out and completely dominate LSU's passing game...I dont' think that will happen, but who knows right now. I do think it's a completely different offense than you faced at A&M....and an offense that has given bama problems in the past....meaning they have a very strong running game with a superstar running back....and a highly mobile qb with a strong arm that can beat you with both his arm and legs. Last year...LSU had a strong running game and that was it....now that running game is even stronger...much stronger actually....plus the addition of the passing game....should be a great game.

I think a lot of that is college kids talking...the ones that knee jerk...they don't really realize that this is probably the team to do it....if LSU can fix it's special teams problems and if Mills can settle down the secondary.

While LSU returns all of that offense, they will likely lose the main part of their OL to the draft, as well as MLB, which is huge, and 2 out of the secondary in White and Mills. I believe they lose another LB as well. DL should be in tact, but losing the MLB and secondary is pretty big, imo.

He has improved, but I look at it from the standpoint of he's a fifth year senior and hasn't played consistently like one. He is getting better, no doubt. Some of my angst originates with Kiffin, honestly.

In the end, I really think it will be typical LSU/Alabama game. Best Offense in the SEC versus the Best Defense. Arguably Best OL in college football against the Best Front 7 in college football.

This will be Big Boy football at its best.

There may be a few more points scored than the 9-6, but I think it is going to come down to a three or four point margin in the end, either way.

Once again order will be restored with the winner of the game taking the SEC West.

Looking forward to an epic game.

Most intriguing matchup will be LSU's offensive line with Bama's D line.

I agree, I think 4Net gets plenty of yards but the difference in the game will be HOW he gets those yards. He's just too big, too fast, and too good not to get them - but if we can hold him to a bunch of 3 yard runs and one breakaway for a TD, we'll be OK. But if he rips off 5-8 yards a carry and ends up with the same 150 yards, it's gonna be a long night.
