To be fair, Brandon Harris is largely the reason for conservative play calling. Expect more of the same.

Every year it was always the year that they would beat bama and it still hasn't happened, I wonder what these guys will say in the first few games when they see how much better this defense has gotten. They forgot the years that we won our front 7 wasn't as deep as last year and we still won handily.

LSU defense wasn't the problem last year. Bama is gonna get theirs on offense. LSUs inability to score points and lack of offensive creativity is the problem. Saban has Miles' mojo as someone said earlier. My only hope is that the offense will be less predictable. I completely disagree with the assessments earlier in the thread. LSU LB corp and DL is as solid as anyone's. And LOL at Key being a backup at Bama. He absolutely would start at Bama, as a sophomore, this year.

no he's not, what an ignorant post. Fournette is the reason for the conservative play calling. Miles believed he could ride that horse to Atlanta. He was clearly wrong.

L5U has scored more than 17 points on Bama exactly once in the last 7 meetings.

OK, right. It's the offenses fault the defense gave up 30 points with 250 rushing to Bama, 31 points with 299 rushing to Ark. That's getting abused, manhandled and dominated in the front 7.

Maybe you are right but you would think that the passing game would be key in beating last year's Bama squad considering you just couldn't run it on them. Harris isn't competent enough to open the playbook. I'm thrilled to know that he will lead your offense again. I'm not gonna say anything else about it though cause we may strut out a below average qb this year too. I'm more than a little worried about it.

I don't expect many folks to hold bama to much less than that TBH, especially a game that bama obviously gets up for. Is it ideal to get abused on the line like that? No

I'm just saying the bigger, glaring issue was the offense. LSUs talent at offensive skill positions should be able to win a game ~30-35.

robinson, reed, ragland, devall, lee, cy jones and geno smith? They all decided to return for one more season?

NO NO NO

bama'a backups of '15 are this year's starters. Who are the backups this year that are better than LSU's starters?

payne 15 games played 13 total tackles
williams 15 games played 19 total tackles
evans 14 games played 10 total tackles
hand 15 games played 16 total tackles

I can see why you are so excited about those four new starters.

Godchaux would start at either DE or NG.
Beckwith would start at ILB
T White starter at CB
Adams starter a safety.
Toliver definitely either nickle or dime back
D Jackson in the mix in secondary (world class speed).

ARDEN KEY designated pass rusher. Would lead the nation in sacks.

LSU's secondary has post season honor winners at CB and safety. They go SEVEN deep with quality and experience.

Could you please name bama's two deep secondary?

Robinson and reed production didnt compare to Allen and Williams, and you bring up Cy jones, well we replaced his side with fitzpatrick (who led the team with passes defended) and we have eddie jackson (the leader in INT's). U can focus on us losing those guys all you want but when u have a team that have 5 stars on the third string then u really won't give a shite who leaves. Stop focussing on who left and what they did and think about who we have left and what their potential is if you are gonna talk about Bamas D this year

Key would not start over Williams(will lead SEC in sacks) nor Anderson at OLB. Foster at MLB , Beckwith would play the other. , R. Evans and the 2 fresh 5*s

Jon Allen, Payne, Hand, Frazier, . Godcheaux would play. Tomlinson

Dbacks. Minhka, Jackson, Humphrey and Harrison. Not sure if the LSU guys would beat any of them out.

Sorry but this Bama defense is LOADED with talent anD has plenty of experience. Will be the best in the SEC again. Lsu will be good, but as usual Bama will be better.

I have never seen a program try to latch on to another to remain relevant. LSU and Bama are not rivals. They are not comparable in accomplishments. The last few years Bama has had more contested match ups with other teams in the west. Ole Miss, Arky and Auburn have all presented much tougher games than LSU.

LSU is dead and no matter how much they try to hype this game and its importance.

The golden age of LSU football ended when Nick Saban signed his 1st # 1 recuiting class at Bama in 2008. LSU has won the SECw 1 time since then and they were not even the best team in the west that year(21-0). 1 division title in 8 years. LSU is finished and November will remove the cloud of delusion. Hopefully clarity on thier place in college football will bring an inner peace and wounds from past beatings can start to heal.

robinson and reed combined for OVER 100 tackles and that doesn't compare to what allen and williams did? I guess anything to make your point look legit, right?

That's two members of the secondary. How bout you name the other two and the nickle and dime backs. Hell list a two deep for the secondary.

Nobody is doubting that bama's STARTING "D" will be one of the best in the country. It's just that going into '16 they don't have the EXPERIENCED backups like '15.

I'm not going to ask about those third string 5*s but, how bout you name the defensive backups heading into '16?

That word POTENTIAL means one thing. They haven't done squat yet.

I never said Key would start. He would be the designated pass rusher. He would get to sip a mint julip on the sidelines for first and second down. Come in on third and long and lead the country in sacks.

Godchaux would START. LSU has five Dlinemen better than frazier. Neal, LaCoture and Herron would all play. Hell even Gillmore would be in the rotation at NT.

T White and J Adams would both start in the secondary. Toliver would be in the mix for nickle or dime back. Because of his world class speed D Jackson would see the field in some capacity also.

LSU "D" is loaded with talent and returns even more experience.

You've never seen a pressured Miles? Where were you last season? Everyone including Miles thought he was fired.

This should be LSU's year. Home game, much more experienced starters than Bama, and a future Heisman finalist in the backfield.

That's about as much advantage as a team can get in this series. If you guys don't win it this year, well...

The other two members of the secondary: Marlon and Ronnie Harrison...happy now lol
The nickel and dime back: Tony Brown and possibly Anthony Averett, although Jared Mayden or the other new recruits may possibly fill these spots its up to the defensive backs coach...
Defensive Backup 5 stars: Ben Davis,Lyndell Wilson, Deonte Thompson, and Kendall Sheffield.
So now that I answered your questions stop reaching trying to find something to criticize
