I can explain your gaudy rushing statistics...

Kent State - 119th ranked offense.
North Texas - 106th ranked offense.
Penn State - 97th ranked offense.
Ole Miss - 102nd ranked offense.
Vandy - 96th ranked offense.

Alabama is just so much better. We shouldn't even show up. You can keep throwing out these stats but they don't mean shite. I wish these threads would just freaking end. THE GAME WILL BE PLAYED ON NOV 5. I promise, so these dumb arse "this is while we'll win" threads are useless.

Stats won't mean shite come November 5th.

Here's the deal, LSU is by far the best run D that Bama will have seen and the same goes for LSU, meaning each team will force the other to throw. We shall see who succeeds.

Those are some interesting statistics.

Since LSU has played against stronger competition, what does this really tell us???

How far do you guys see the loser of the LSU/Alabama game dropping in the BCS standings? Assuming all of the undefeated teams keep winning (unlikely), I still see the loser dropping no lower than 4th in the standing.

This may sound like homerism, but if LSU loses at Alabama in a close game, they should probably drop a little less in the polls than Alabama would if they lost to LSU. Alabama has the game at home. If they lose at home, they don't deserve an opportunity for a re-match in the dome. However, if LSU loses a close one on the road, I think the argument could definitely be made that they do.

If Oklahoma State slips up along the way, and then beats Oklahoma the last game of the season, plus a Wisconsin loss, the loser of the LSU/Bama game sneaks back up to #2 in the BCS by the end of the season, IMO.

Stanford and Boise State are irrelevant.

Greg McElroy shredded the lsu secondary last year for 223 yards and 2TDs. McCarron can throw on them just like he did. AJ does not get enough credit for this team's rushing success. You can't stack the box against AJ.

Last year Bama had what may end up being 2 Heisman RB's & a QB who resides in the NFL and still could not beat LSU. Any chance that may happen again?

You mean that place Bama has beaten LSU twice in the last 15 years???

Not...sure if I'd bring up the issue of home field advantage into this....

Recent history in this series suggests that there is a HOME FIELD DISADVANTAGE.

Anyone have a rational explanation for this phenomenon? Can this only be attributed to some type of Cajun voodoo Saban curse?

@4nmylifetime

That's a great theory and it might work against teams that have no depth like Tenn and FL but good luck with it against a team that is as deep as the BAMA D. Your admitting that you cant move the ball against fresh players and have to wear them down to be effective. BAMA hasnt even played their 3rd best LB for 3 games except for maybe 2 plays Sat. night and they havent missed a beat. Do you realize the BAMA D goes up against a better OL and RB's daily at practice than they will see all year, and your counting on wearing them down to move the ball. A D that rotates in 5 or 6 DL in a 3 man front and plays as many as 6 different LB's through out a game. It aint happenin'. The BAMA D does not tire out and it doesnt give up yrds on the ground. The LSU running game will not be effective and neither JJ or Lee is a good enough QB to single handidly take over and win a game against that D. The BAMA D will win the field position battle. BAMA wins by 2 possesions.

But I bet you seriously believe AJ McCarron can single handidly beat LSU's secondary

You guys act like LSU can't rum the f*cking football! We run 2 totally different styles of offense, and LSU fans will give Bama credit where credit is due. I have never said Bama DOESN'T have balance, it's you and your fellow gumps who continue to downplay our offense.

Seriously, it's not like LSU nor Bama are world beaters on offense ( ) Neither could survive solely on a passing game if the running should ever falter.

Please provide a link where I've downplayed anything about LSU's team, in comparison to Bama. I'll wait.
