@Robot Santa
Against what opponents? People really need to chill out with these stats, seriously!!!
Look at the competition before patting yourselves or any other team on the back.

Well if that's the case, then isn't that kind of stupid on LSU's part? Why would you want to "insure" 8-9 men in the box? That's not very intelligence.

OMG!!! This stat thing is really getting boring
For you Bama fans, it's something called "balance".

Bama's 7+ YPC is especially impressive given McElwain's unimaginative playcalling. LSU appears to me bludgeon their opponents, running to move the chains, control the clock, rest their defense and set up their play action passing game. Alabama appears to be much more reliant on their running game to score. LSU has a better balance of passing (11) touchdowns to rushing touchdowns (16) as compared to Bama (9) passing vs (23) rushing. The only way I see Bama winning this game is if they have success running right at LSU, between the tackles. LSU is too fast to run wide on and their LBs are relatively small. If Bama can't overpower them, I think LSU wins. LSU has too many other advantages, better receivers, more experienced QBs, far superior punting and kicking game, not to mention the HONEY BADGER (he takes what he wants). LSU wins unless Bama can make their arse quit. A'ight.
This is the most level-headed, spot-on post I've ever seen from anyone about an upcoming opponent on this board.
The thing is, that one big thing, is the chances of stopping Trent Richardson are slim to none.

Because by the 4th qrt....those 8-9 men's arse's are dragging...and THEN we start controlling the clock...see Tenn game time management...THE STAT THAT REALLY MATTERS, IS THE FINAL SCORE..
That's a great theory and it might work against teams that have no depth like Tenn and FL but good luck with it against a team that is as deep as the BAMA D. Your admitting that you cant move the ball against fresh players and have to wear them down to be effective. BAMA hasnt even played their 3rd best LB for 3 games except for maybe 2 plays Sat. night and they havent missed a beat. Do you realize the BAMA D goes up against a better OL and RB's daily at practice than they will see all year, and your counting on wearing them down to move the ball. A D that rotates in 5 or 6 DL in a 3 man front and plays as many as 6 different LB's through out a game. It aint happenin'. The BAMA D does not tire out and it doesnt give up yrds on the ground. The LSU running game will not be effective and neither JJ or Lee is a good enough QB to single handidly take over and win a game against that D. The BAMA D will win the field position battle. BAMA wins by 2 possesions.

I can explain your gaudy rushing statistics...
Kent State - 119th ranked offense.
North Texas - 106th ranked offense.
Penn State - 97th ranked offense.
Ole Miss - 102nd ranked offense.
Vandy - 96th ranked offense.
Say what you want, but playing these opponents will skew both your offensive and defensive stats.
I'm not saying Bama isn't a good team, or that TR isn't a Heisman caliber running back. I'm just saying that you will not know what kind of team you have until November 5th.
I know what kind of team LSU is, they've played a much tougher schedule than Bama. Especially as relates to their opponents offensive prowess.

You should get your head out of your arse and look at Alabama's offensive numbers. If you do indeed want to talk about "balance"...

Bama is averaging over 7 yards an attempt. Is this difference explained by better offensive line play or are Bama's backs better?
You're overlooking one small clue here Watson. You see, Bama has been playing SHITTY defenses. Thus giving them the appearance of better stats.

Not really, Ware still picks up 3 or 4 yards with 8 in the box. 8-9 in the box = single coverage on WRs. Major reason why Lee has had such a great year so far.

We definitely needed a thread like this on the SECr.

LSU: 194.4 yds/g rushing
174.7 yds/g passing
Bama: 241.6 yds/g rushing
219.0 yds/g passing
We are just as balanced as LSU

'Bama has a slightly better O-line IMO and the best overall back in TR. That being said I think either can run the ball effectively on anyone else in the country based on the first 7 games. The real test will come against one another.
Overall I give 'Bama the edge at RB and OL on offense. LSU is slightly better at QB, TE, and WR. Defensively, LSU has the advantage at DB, 'Bama a strong edge at LB and the DL is even. LSU has the slight edge in ST. Coaching is even. With the home field advantage I see 'Bama as a 4 point favorite come 11-5.

Both Richardson and Lacy are better than any RB LSU has
So you're saying that because Alabama statistically has better RBs you guarantee they'll beat LSU?
Help me out here...I'm still learning how this all works.

Greg McElroy shredded the lsu secondary last year for 223 yards and 2TDs. McCarron can throw on them just like he did. AJ does not get enough credit for this team's rushing success. You can't stack the box against AJ.

Lets just get over it right now, LSU is going to get butt raped by almighty Alabama and their amazing stats. LSU shouldnt even show up on Nov.5
to save themselves from the beatdown they are going to get.

Oh yeah he totally shredded us .
Last time I checked his ginger bitch arse lost last year. Yeah, just killed us last year.

Greg had a good day throwing the football and AJ is better. If lsu wants to sell out to stop the run AJ will nickel and dime them to death like he does everyone else. You can't load the box against AJ Mc"Cannon"

It's official. LSU fans will refute any Alabama statistics down to nearly ripping their own testicles off.
