The sec is responsible for making tamu known outside the state of Texas.

The Clinton administration did more when they instituted the don't ask don't tell policy.

When I saw this earlier today I was a little surprised. I know it's at the NFL venue but giving rice a home game? Why?

Over 3 million bucks

Get to play in front of the largest alumni base outside of LA

More exposure in one of the best recruiting areas in the country.

Easy decision!

Traveling 4 hours to play rice. Sounds fun

Not as fun as taking Texas's 4 and 5-STAR recruits...

Austin Deculus 5-Star OT
Jhamon Ausbon - 4-Star WR
Grant Delpit 4-Star Safety
Manny Netherly 4-Star WR
Marvin Wilson - 5-Star DT named LSU his leader

LINK

LSU

2017: vs. BYU
2017: vs. Syracuse
2018: vs. Miami
2019-20: vs. Texas
2021/2024: vs. UCLA
2022-23: vs. Arizona State
2027-28: vs. Oklahoma

This is why. They're playing a home-home with Rice in the same seasons that Texas and UCLA are on the schedule. Rather than scheduling some scrub or FCS team at home, they are getting paid to go to Houston, which is a recruiting pipeline. It's a win-win for LSU.
