Alabama is hoping LSU fires a winning coach and incurs the Fulmer curse of not being worth a frick for many a year.

Don't act like 5 in a row to Bama didn't get this ball rolling.

Eh, we were beating them when they were "worth a frick". Doesn't matter much to me.

USC has a massive recruiting advantage when it comes to QBs though. Louisiana just doesn't produce top notch QBs year in and out.

Why do you think you guys have not been able to pull a good one from Texas? There are so many there. Does Les not like Texas QBs for some reason?

I honestly cannot answer that.

I've said for years that LSU should be pulling QBs from Texas every year. Flynn and Lee were both from there.

It is very strange that you guys have not had a really good QB for awhile. I know some LSU posters credit this to Les which might be true.

There is nothing to suggest otherwise at this point. Prior to 2008 he let his QBs sling it. I honestly believe that season shattered his confidence in his QBs and sent him into this conservative shell.

If Les does stay and shows signs of willing to change, I believe you guys need to get an OC that has experience as a QB coach. Dan Enos has done an amazing job working with Allen this year.

Cam was considered one of the best QB coaches in the NFL, his credentials as an OC were the problem.

I honestly don't see the QB performing any better in a pro-system going forward. The only way to do it is if they build the depth to where you're starting 3rd and 4th year players all the time. However, that's not realistic in today's game because all the top recruits wanting immediate PT.

Fact is, having a young QB in an offense that requires you to make the type of reads Miles expects is not a recipe for success.

That is a great point. He was looked at as a great hire at the time.

Can I ask you to look at 2006-2007 when we fired Nutt?

It's circumstances, not wins/losses. I honestly don't blame LSU fans right now.

Ark is headed to the top of the league with Bama.

LSU in turmoil, Gus exposed, Sumlin just a recruiter, and the Miss schools bout to super suck.

Perfect storm for Bert.
