LSU was ready to play Sat, sun, or monday and UF refused while all other schools in the region found a was to play their game. Foley says safety was an issue but yet they hosted recruits that saturday in sunny clear weather? Add to all this, UF had 4 starting defensive players expected to be out for the game. Three of them D-Lineman....and this is LSU's black eye? You sound like a reporter for one of those crap magazines like the Nat'l Enquirer. Just making up shite to sell copies.

The key difference is LSU fans wanted a CONTINGENCY plan in place. We wanted OTHER OPTIONS to be considered in the event the game could not be played.

Other options include:
Moving the game to Sunday
Moving the game to Monday
Moving the game to a neutral location
Moving the game to Baton Rouge

Were many LSU fans wrong about their initial predications of the storm? Yes. Do you think any of them were upset that they have to eat crow? Hell no.

It's telling the only "Gotcha" Florida fans can throw at LSU is that they were wrong over the weather forecast.

LSU doesn't want to play the game under conditions that UF and SEC have us in. The precedent in how to handle games under similar hurricane conditions has been set. Your either change venues or postpone the event to agreed upon date. LSU has done this many times over the last 10 years. We are quite experienced in this department and willing to work as proven last season with USCe.

-Large buyout to USA
-Loss of millions of dollars in revenue by losing home game
-Loss of over ten million to the local revenue with the loss of the game
-having to play OM, Bama, Arky, UF and aTm to end the season
-3 straight road games to close the season
-we lost the revenue due to a home game being canceled last season

Who cares what some LSU fans posted on the SEC Rant?

LSUs admin offered to do whatever it took to play in Gainesville or BTR on Sat/Sun/Mon. UFs admin said it was too dangerous to play at home or travel anywhere and that the players couldn't leave their families in Florida. Meanwhile it was business as usual this weekend for the rest of UFs athletic teams.

The LSU fan is the one who brought up UF fans switching up their narrative. I just pointed out that LSU fans did the exact same thing.

We offered and tried every opportunity to play the game in any scenario last week.

So you agree with me?

Why would we cancel a home game to play Florida on the road...

Because that's what Sankey's gonna tell you to do. And you'll like it.

LSU was scheduled to arrive, play and get out. We were ready to play but it was clear that was not going to happen.

LSU fans could see what the angle was and the longer Foley pushed the decision, the less likely the game was going to get played. Foley comes out and says the game will be played when it was clear that there was absolutely no way any game was getting played that day.

Foley played it well and the SEC played it wrong and allowed that there was no Plan B.

What should happen is the SEC Championship should be pushed back. LSU v UF should be played 12/3, if needed. UF is gonna lose to Arky so this game won't matter anyway.

Your AD is looking for good pr with his fan base and isn't interested in finding a middle ground. He is running to the press every chance he gets and plays the victim. That isn't someone looking for a way to play the game, that is someone looking to play his own fan base for personal gain.

Good idea...and this was actually considered for the UT-LSU game in 2005, but there was another event scheduled for the Georgia Dome the following weekend. So if there is an event this year scheduled for the following weekend, this isn't possible...as good an idea as it is.

Of course then, someone is going to bitch about the West winner getting an extra week off.

First let me complain that I might have to play Bama after they have had a bye week and pretend that should matter much.
