Think the key to this game is our LB play.

without a doubt. we have to fill gaps. We also need to work over bama's LB's with passes all over the place and force them to cover RB's and WR's. if they play zone sit down in the soft spots. man? burn them on drags, crosses, and in routes. when saban subs in his nickel or dime package run between the tackles. wing will play a HUGE factor in keeping bama pinned down deep when we punt.

How many yards did LSU run for against Bama last year ? ... without a passing game to speak of.

but you can forget establishing a running game, not gonna happen.

the greatest run defense of ALL TIME! OF ALL TIME! Seriously you fricks act like the impermeable wall of college football. How soon you for get that LSU ran for 230 yards on largely this same defense last year. fricking Tauren Poole ran for 50+ in the first half last week.

I predict the stats to shake out:

total rushing yards:
Alabama: 165
LSU: 190

So all of a sudden, Alabama's defense is gonna forget how to stop the run?

2010- 225
2009- 95
2008- 201
2007- 87

I suppose it wouldn't be the first time. LSU averages 153 rush yards per game against Saban's tide.

Odd Year!

Trent will show up in a big way and we'll make our own plays in the passing game and win 27-14

I'd like to put an AVITAR bet that Bama will not score 27 or more.......u game?

mehh its misleading. In 07, the rushing was down because we were throwing it all over the place. Flynn and Doucet combined for 388. 2009 was the only legit shut down.

You see, this is the reason I cant talk to a single Gump. You throw out a definitive statement like this with NOTHING to back it up and the only reason you say it is because you are a Bama fan.

agreed. actually LSU has the better D line and secondary while bama has the upper hand at LB. There has not been a blowout in this game in quite ssome time, actually since 2003 for sure going by the definition that a blowout is winning by 18 or more points. LSU won that game 27-3. we won 26-10 in 2004 but that was not a blowout.

As a rabid LSU fan, I couldn't agree with CrimsonChin any more than I do. He's totally and completely right. It amazes me that Les hasn't called Saban and told him that the Tigers want to forfeit the game. Another dumb move by Les. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to show up and play the damn game. Geez, I sure hope that the Tide will show some mercy. I remember going to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl years ago to play Illinois and the Illinois fans told us that we couldn't stay on the field with them...oh wait...that's not the right story...then there was a game agt Oklahoma & the Okie fans and media said we didn't have a chance...oh wait, that's not it...OK, there was the time when we went to New Orleans to play the infamous Prof. Tressell and everyone said we shouldn't even be on the field with them...after all we had 2 losses...that's not it either...Well, anyway, I think you're right, Saban's a better coach (coaching by fear always works), our team is outmanned (I'll be sure to sent 'em a memo), and Tuscaloosa is the vacation place of the South.
