and better RB stable.

no.

If Richardson goes down all you have left is Lacy. Then he can't run it every time so you have to put the Fowler kid in. He isn't slicing through LSU's defense. Give me Ware, Ford, Blue, and Hilliard.

Did you not see LSU's 5th string RB last week??

He was actually our 3rd string FB, and moved to 5th string RB.

But I'm sure he's moved up the depth chart after his performance last week.

Please let there be a borderline call that goes Bama's way. That no-call for PP has lost its luster and y'all need some new material to cry about.

you didn't know Wing was our secret weapon at RB. You know da mad hatter will have some shite up his sleeve. 4th and 1? frick it. Hand it off to the RB who pitches it to the TE running around the end while the starting QB is blocking a DE. And it works to perfection

LSU will win by 10+. MaCarron is average at best, on a good day and the windows he throwing into will be much smaller and open for much less time. Games like this come down to QB play, turnovers and ST and LSU has the advantage at all three. IMO lsu will be more successful throwing than running but enough to keep bama honest. LSU DBs are also better in Man coverage than bama DBs. KPatrick lets guys get behind him a little too much. Lsu can deal with having to put 8 in the box to stop the run b/c of better man play than bama can when they put 8 in. LSU is +15 in turnover margin and also opponents only have 7 total punt return yards all season. No chance of a return with Wing bombing 50 yard 5+ second hang times. Bama's 50 yard average in PR per game is gone and that's huge. Then there is the trickeration factor w/ Les and of course JJ working off play-action w/ throws over the top that saban knows are coming but will still have to load the box on.

Lacy & Richardson have amassed 1454 yards, which equals LSU's top 5 rushers combined (Ware, Ford, Blue, Jefferson, Hilliard). All on 207 carries, which is EXACTLY the same amount of carries as LSU's top 2 RB's (Ware & Ford)

They've also ran for 22 touchdowns, which is 2 more than LSU's top 5 Rusher's TD combined.

So, I'm not really seeing much improvement from this Stable of LSU's RB's in comparison.

How many yards did LSU run for against Bama last year ? ... without a passing game to speak of.

FWIW we have been getting very short fields. Our punter keeps field position in our favor most of the game. I'd be willing to bet LSU's starting field position is 12-15 yards better than Alabama's. Not a flame. Just an honest assessment.

I know having 8 rushing touchdowns from outside the redzone, doesn't help bolster the redzone offense.

Here's a tiny little stat that doesn't really tell me much, but LSU has achieved a first down via penalty 19 times, versus Alabama only achieving 4 first downs via penalty.

I need to find this starting field position stat pronto.

LSU is a great team BUT

quote:
Bama has

played a lot of really shitty football teams

Against common opponents:
Tenn
LSU - 237 yards at 4.8 YPC
Bama - 143 at 3.8 YPC

Florida
LSU - 238 at 4.9 YPC
Bama - 226 at 5.3 YPC

and what did the defenses look like?

Tennessee Offense
against Bama:
Points - 6
Total Yards - 155
Passing Yards - 63
Yards Per Pass - 3.5
Rushing Yards - 92
Yards Per Carry - 2.9

against LSU:
Points - 7
Total Yards - 239
Passing Yards - 128
Yards Per Pass - 6.4
Rushing Yards - 111
Yards Per Carry - 3.8

Florida Offense

against Bama:
Points - 10
Total Yards - 222
Passing Yards - 207
Yards Per Pass - 9.0
Rushing Yards - 15
Yards Per Carry - 0.5

against LSU:
Points - 11
Total Yards - 213
Passing Yards - 100
Yards Per Pass - 6.3
Rushing Yards - 113
Yards Per Carry - 3.5

mmmm...I love the smell of STATS in the morning.

People also needs to realize that Bama played a healthy UF team in the 1st half. After we put out Brantley and Demps, they couldn't do anything.

This is going to be a great game and there are tons of stats that can go either way but all that matters is who settles it on the field.

Lulz! LSU will be able to run right up the middle on Bama. With JC Copeland leading the way Ware will average at least 4 yards a carry. Bama's LBs haven't seen a 280lb monster lead FB like Copeland before, no way they will stop him. By the 4th quarter LSU will be running at will.

You may be right, but you realize that he is only averaging 4 yards per carry on the season against defenses that are not as good as Bama's.

Oh, people realize that.
Brantley lit Bama's secondary up.

If 1 long pass off play action to start the game is lighting us up, then go ahead and believe that. What did he do after the first 2 series'?
