I don't see what the big deal is here other than other SEC fans on the rant want to take jabs at anyone for anything.

To me it shows Orgeron is dedicated to LSU in a way it reflects he has no shame.

Absolutely decide where a player goes if he is transferring from your school. I'm sure Ed has his reasons

Absolutely block a camp from invading enemy schools if you can. If you can legally block it, so it. This is big time football down here. Go camp elsewhere .

I'm not a fan of LSU but I pull for them when not playing USC. I admire a coach like this. He wants to rid any advantage of an opposing team in regards to recruits.

With that being said LSU wouldn't do well if they had any kind of in state competition. I don't know what they'd do if they had another major university in state like a Clemson, FSU , Miami, Ga Tech, Auburn etc.

I just typed FSU and spell correct types GAY . Wtf???? Lmao that's to funny

These LSU tarts are in these type of threads, crying that the University shouldn't be able to do this, blah, blah, blah.

When it's them, it's ok, (insert boring excuse)

TCU was actively trying to recruit LSU players off the roster. Easy fix.

Word is TCU has been meddling with LSU players, and Ed isn't happy with it.

Ordinarily, I wouldn't expect him to do this for non-SEC schools.

This is getting to be horseshite. The NCAA needs to step in and say that if a kid requests a transfer, unless you have a rock solid reason to block it, the kid should be allowed to transfer ANYWHERE, including to your most bitter, closest rivals in the conference. This is just getting petty and stupid.

Phil I am in agreement with you. This is like a no compete agreement which I am totally against. If the kid is unhappy at lsu or cannot get playing time then he should be free to go elsewhere. Down votes coming I know

I don't care what TCU did if the kid doesn't want to be here let him go where he wants. This puts us in the same class as Bama and their ilk when it comes to giving a shite about what is truly important when it comes to these kids. You can still win at this level without being assholes about shite like transfers.

If the guy is chestless, let him go wherever the frick he wants to go where they allow you to lack chest. It's his decision and he will have to sit out a year to be eligible there anyway, all while losing more chest, because if you don't use it you lose it. Free willie and let him go be chest-free at tcu, where he would fit in.

Maybe you missed the point of Tcu having illegal contact with Allen while he was at Lsu?
Has nothing to do with Rodgers. I guess that didn't fit your narrative for this post?

Blocking TCU just means he has to sit out a year right?

Same to you. I love how it's just that LSU is jealous that TCU is taking an LSU player or LSU is upset that QB (who didn't like LSU after the Harris stuff) went to TCU.

This actually gives some rationale for LSU's blocking Allen that isn't pure supposition.
LINK
quote:

LSU blocking Allen stems from what the Tigers staff said was the recruitment of Allen before the player left LSU or discussed his transfer with the LSU staff.

This would be in violation of the NCAA rule on impermissible contact.

"An athletics staff member or other representative of the institution’s athletics interests shall not make contact with the student-athlete of another NCAA or NAIA four-year collegiate institution, directly or indirectly, without first obtaining the written permission of the first institution’s athletics director (or an athletics administrator designated by the athletics director) to do so, regardless of who makes the initial contact," NCAA rule 13.1.1.3 states.

So we have "LSU is being mean" vs. "TCU is blocked because of them recruiting him while in the program." I wonder which one seems more logical.

And yet here you are making personal insults on an anonymous message board because he doesn't agree with your line of thinking. Instead of countering you hurl insults, that is a true sign of "pappy" not raising you right.
