I don't want to. South Carolina icon is better looking and I dislike clemson.

Just change your favorite team icon to Alabama already. Everyone knows.

His user name goes from clever to downright gay if he does that. No go.

Legit question, because I don't remember the specifics, where there indications that Smith was recruited to UGA while on Bama's roster?

I don't remember much other than his defensive coordinator leaving to become the head coach of UGA. I think the issue there was more that you don't want staff members taking kids with them when they get a new job. But the point is, there are subtleties to these situations. Sometimes it's more than "big bad mean coach is trying to screw over one of his players", like these writers and analyst always want to portray

I would agree with that.

Oh yeah. Hot taek world doesn't deal in nuance though. Just screaming.

Everyone is going to scream bloody murder that Orgeron is ruining this kids life (Jay Bilas already is). But no one will mention that Gary Patterson put this kids eligibility in jeopardy altogether by recruiting him while he was on LSU's roster.

Who is doing worse for the kid?

Wow, I didn't know Allen was transferring. What's the story there

Same ol story. When they sign "I just want to get out there and compete for the job". When they don't win the position "I want to transfer".

I hope this issue can now be put to rest. Let's not forget, Saint Nicholas ultimately signed off on Geno Smith's transfer to the school he wanted to go to.

My guess is LSU will eventually allow it but it's a shot across the bow - stay away from our current players before they decide.

I thought Bama was in the right concerning the UGA transfer. It's a tad different but it still made sense to me. As for LSU and TCU, recruiting players from another team is a major no no. frick TCU and good for Orgeron. The LSU "fans" concerned with the optics are embarrassing themselves imho.

Blocking him from going in the SEC is expected and understandable. I was wondering what the deal is with TCU, but now we are hearing the reason. I not only agree with blocking him to TCU. But I wonder if that is a NCAA violation to recruit a player at one school to go to another?
