I don't, but I care to see them succeed for the same reason I am an LSU fan and don't care about any certain NFL team. LSU and the players represent my home. NFL teams aren't mostly made up of Louisiana products, so I follow the individual players.

It doesn't make me feel one way or the other. I was just curious. I know some people from LA get a kick out of dickriding Bama in a state full of LSU fans. It's actually pretty pathetic.

Many CFB programs claim to care about their players, but at LSU it really is the truth.
I think much of this comes from the fact that La. has the Saints and we actually realize that the vast majority of these young men want to succeed in the NFL more than winning a championship at an academic institution of higher learning that has an amatuer football team.
On the flip side of this equation is the attitude of Bama fans about their former players. Bama fans could care less what happens to their former players and are only concerned with winning championships. The odd thing that has always struck me when socializing with bama fans is the fact that they think football starts and ends with bama. Hell, many of them openly brag about not caring about the NFL.
I think the fact that a professional league exists only reminds them how pathetic they are that the NFL doesn't deem the state of Al. important enough to put a franchise there.

But Bama is two time defending SEC champion and in the playoff so we are on top in college football, which is what this web site is about.
