Or calling your teen age daughter and niece "Trailor trash." Oh and they were doing anything but walking with me to our hotel in NOLA and wearing their colors. I had warned them not to say anything.

Those drunken old lady swamp rats are really trashy

Had one douche in the stadium (I was wearing neutral colors) who told me to go die when I cheered for our TD but besides that I've always had a great time. Team sucked dick tho. Everyone around me apologized for that guy. Prick

Pre-game was definitely different than normal. I wouldn't say it was subdued because there was definitely a solid buzz in the air noise wise, but people were pretty much huddled in their location. Even the LSU folks weren't acting wild and crazy, at least the ones we were around (they were still fun as hell, as always).

I love the piped in C-Murder. I hate the Cochran stuff. It is way past time to retire that. But the C-Murder is fan-flippin-tastic. Unlike LSU we've never had great band/fan tradition stuff like bowing to the defense, so I really didn't feel like we lost a whole lot.

I thought it was pretty loud the whole game. Compared pretty favorably to the State game last season.

No issues at all. Bama was ready to play. LSU wasn't. Nuff said. The weather before and after the game was a bummer

My brother went to game. He texted me that he would not be returning ever. He didn't elaborate but said Alabama fans were horrible. I hope to get more of the story later.

Your bro is probably just a little puss who can't handle a loss and opposing fans being pumped for a win.

I've been to every SEC stadium other than Missouri, A&M, Kentucky and Vanderbilt (most between 2005 - 2008, so lots of losses) and the only "bad" experience I ever had was in Starkville. Everywhere else was a blast. And most of the games themselves sucked weiner.

It was my first time to Tuscaloosa. The campus, town and people were much better than I anticipated. The tailgating was very poor compared to what I expected. Just another reminder that no one does a college football atmosphere like LSU. The in-stadium experience was intense but the amount of music, past highlights and advertisements made it miserable (along with LSU's effort) and fake.

They tailgate very well in Tuscaloosa. The weather and them cutting power in and around the quad really toned it down.

Still not like LSU, in my very biased opinion, but definitely the second best I've experienced.

Well it was my first time visiting.i didnt like the fact the stadium don't have elevators or escalators. The video boards were small.

Had a good pregame experience at Houndstooth's. Alabama fans were cool at that place. BDS is a beautifully done stadium, but I thought it was surprisingly tame and not nearly as loud as I expected for a game of this magnitude. The piped in music and the Cochran yelling were absolutely atrocious. I'm biased as an LSU fan, but I wasn't impressed by the in-game experience. Yall have a good coach and team, though.

the tailgating you are right is not very good. Even on nice days out for whatever reason the quad is never fully full. Its not like Ole Miss or LSU those are by far better tailgating then Bama. What Bama does have that makes it good is the access to the bars and the frat houses. With them being so close its alot of fun hitting the bars and walking 100 yards to the stadium.

As for the music and Cochran. I love that stuff, especially Cochran. Love the rap music between plays on defense. I hate how they dont play dixie land delight anymore. Nothing cooler then being at a big game and having that come on and the stadium scream. Kind of like playing callin Baton Rouge in TS.

The video boards are small, but with the way the stadium was constructed I dont know where you could have put them in to make them bigger.

Not my experience at all, at least for LSU games. Our normal spot is typically more packed than the Grove when the weather cooperates.

We sell out our ticket allotment every time we play there. That said, the location of y'all's visitor seating is some of the worst in the SEC. Combine that with the constant piped in music and the weird screaming retarded ginger guy, and it's pretty obnoxious.

That said, for the most part, y'all are some of the nicest and most welcoming fans that I've encountered on SEC road trips.

good, we'd put them all in the nosebleed if we could. LSU even thumped their chest about taking Bammers off the lower bowl during their stadium expansion.

That would be LSU graduate Scott Cochran.

You mean after years of us giving visiting fans better seats than any other SEC school? All we did was follow suit and do to y'all what everybody was doing to us, and it was way overdue. Rumor is we are moving even more visitor seats to the nosebleeds in the near future. I hope this is true.

I just found out that he's a John Curtis grad. That explains a lot. Supposedly Cochran has expressed interest in returning home to Louisiana when Tommy Moffit retires. That would be interesting.
