I said the same thing to the guy next to me and he agreed. Would be awesome at most stadiums to do that I think. There was just so much rap, which I guess pumps up the players, but I always preferred the uniqueness of a band for college football games.

Hey great minds think alike!

The band is at a much lower volume than the other shite so you naturally let it fade into the background like Muzak or white noise. Band kids obviously work their arse off and should be on equally billing as the piped in stuff. I think I'll write a polite but firm letter to the provost at the University.

Croots love it. All that matters.

Glad to hear people had a decent time. Rain, mud and no elec on the quad just made it a different kind of party, didn't kill it :coco2:

We only do that out of affection for our conference mates. And usually just to fans of programs we respect. So you should feel kind of honored.

Well the weather killed the mood, but the piped in music was awful, plus the guy begging for noise gave me a headache.

Plus after the game we had an older black couple and a 13 year old future frat star yell at us about LF7 and the Heisman.

There was a fat middle aged guy running down the street outside the stadium staring down me and my dad shouting "Fournette only has 30 yards! What you think about that?" I said "you're gonna tear an acl if you don't slow down, fat boy." He laughed and pointed at me and scurried on down the street.

That was the extent of my shite talking for the weekend.

I thought the stadium was pretty nice. It was loud and the crowd seemed very into the game at all times from the first to the last play. The Bama people I met were all very nice and thanked us for coming and wished us safe travels (even before the game). The only clash between fans I saw, was a when an LSU fan threw a Bama dude's pom-pom back at him as he was walking down the stadium isle. Don't know how he got it, but it didn't escalate into anything serious. There were a few roll tides shot at me walking out the stadium, but nothing I took offence to. Yeah, weather was bad and prevented us from walking around more and seeing the campus more. I was shocked at the lack of traffic getting out of T-town, especially since everyone stayed till the end.

Maybe you didn't notice the delay of games one after another and your O getting rattled under our student section. Mood wasn't killed where I sat, the noise and atmosphere were great and often drowned that shite out. Sorry y'all were quiet

While it was consistently loud for most of the game.

The Tennessee game definitely was louder in the second half, wonder if it was the weather.

The recruits are probably pissed when Bama doesn't blast the rap while Bama has the ball.

The stadium was definitely loud under the circumstances, but I've been in BDS when it was much louder. Still a solid showing for the weather. It might have been where I was sitting, though.

Do you know JBeam? He was in Tuscaloosa too, and was at Houndstooth some at least on Friday night. Glad to hear the assholes were kept somewhat at bay

I do not.

There were definitely opportunities for trouble with drunk guys looking for a fight, but I just avoided those situations. One guy was furious at the gas station because Leonard Fournette scored a TD late .

I agree wuth them on everything about Cochran and the piped in music. shite gets annoying when it's repeatedly played. I like the Cochran thing only for 3rd down. Other than that, it's annoying.

The tiger bait is usually in good fun, and they will likely invite you in for beer and food after. There are definitely plenty of troublemakers at LSU games, but it seems like there's usually a lot more mixing in of visiting fans at LSU tailgates.

Did you get a chance to sample any of local food? There are some decent places on the Strip and downtown, but the best places are a little further (Archibalds, Waysider, City Cafe, etc)

The LSU fans weren't quiet for the most part. Only away fans I've seen stand up and yell while they're on defense. Tennessee definitely brought more, but the LSU fans were louder.

Stadium was rocking the whole game.

Ole Miss was louder from the beginning. I think they brought more fans

I did not. I left after work on Friday, so I didn't arrive until midnight before the game. The next day, I just ate at the tailgate.
