That was pre-planned fun. I guarantee you he had the chest bumped drawn up so he could use it at the right time (i.e. - when the cameras were on him) to make himself seem like a decent, fun guy.

1. This is an idiotic thread.

2. Telling a gump not to post is an invitation to a volcano of gump posts.

3. Gump posts are idiotic.

The downside to him is that (in his eyes) he's NEVER wrong, so that means he'll occasionally throw someone under the bus (ex.: when he coached the Dolphins, he threw the player personnel dept. under the bus.)

Is that the same department that wouldn't let Saban bring in Brees because of the shoulder? Or are you LSUers still going with the 'Saban sucks at evaluating talent' theory?

Javier Arenas, Mark Ingram, GMAC, Dont'a Hightower, and Rolando McClain always look like they are having fun if you ask me.

Does this sort of excuse help you feel better about not winning games? "We might have lost, but goddamn our boys looked like they were having fun out there and that's all that matters!"?

Get real. Nick Saban gets paid a frick-ton of money to win football games and he's very good at winning football games. That's his job. Making sure everyone on the team is having fun probably doesn't crack the top 20 things that are most important to him in his job. Holding up Heisman, Butkus, SEC and BCS trophies is probably the most fun thing you can do as a college football player and Saban got our guys to that point so I would pencil him in as pretty fun.

I don't know. The LSUers sure looked like they were having fun in Tuscaloosa. Or was that cramps?

Saban is overrated as a gameday coach. See his last two games at LSU.

he's an a-hole, still is, no class or character, just football.

he wins, and he's very good, but he hasnt won consistantly enough for me to call him the best in the nation. now we can't argue what he'll do in the next decade and i'll be more than happy to admit he's the best if he continues to be great.

but dont come talkin about how much your team is underacheiving when you still have more talent, like people were doing in br in 04. he'll lose 3 next year, dont worry.

and it's not sour anything. your guy has a nc with you guys, my guy has a nc with us. i just personally dont want him coaching. i didnt like him when he was in br. people called me a dumbass.

Thats rumor's roadGator. LSU always puts together a force to be reckoned with. Everyone in the SEC knows that LSU plays with Intensity and always has. Long before Saban ever came to LSU that is.

@danfraz yes Saban is better. He took alot of what he learned while he was at the Miami Dolphins and brought that knowledge with him not to mention the knowledge he already had.

National Championship 2003 with LSU... ^_^

We gumps are pretty dumb for hiring saban with a 8 year 32 million dollar contract for Saban to be able to completely revive the program from the slumps of NCAA sanctions to National Champions in just 3 short years. Hell I think the man is underpaid.
