Well there are 13 other team boards for SECr visitors and posters yet I've never visited one of them and no desire to do so

But I'm sure chicken appreciates you checking out the original tiger rant for your posting material

Ok. Are you suggesting this place would be better if we were all a little more like you?

Have y'all done the yellow out before? How does it look on tv/in the stands?

Gold Rush game. I want to say DiNardo started it in the 90s.

Looks great on TV and in person IMHO.

I think so. But the best was the White Out Vandy game cause Vandy wouldn't let us wear white at home. And then the rains came.

That was a fun game. 35-0 and the vandy coach afterward said " I doubt the jerseys had anything to do with it"

One of my good friends is an LSU fan, and he occasionally wears his gold LSU shirt just to bother me. The space station can see that shirt from space. It's hideous.

How dare you peruse the mindless rants of an opposing fan base message board the week your team is playing them.

It's the color of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese in shirt form.

In the stadium, I wear gold/yellow so the space station can see me. Away from the stadium, I wear purple.

Same thing for Oregon State. I wear orange in the stadium. Usually go with something a little more low key when in a bar or out and about around town.

From what I recall of LSU home games in the 80s, few people wore the school colors at all. Until DiNardo came along, we were pretty disorganized. Look at old crowd shots from LSU games in the 80s and you're more likely to see somebody wearing a Polo or Izod shirt. People were just there to get shitcanned and socialize. Not that there's anything wrong with that and it's not like we've changed much in that regard.

In the stadium is different. I'm talking about going to lunch on a Friday and looking like you are the sun king.

When I was in college, sorority girls would rather die than wear school colors. We would actually not wear stuff if it remotely looked like school colors. That's definitely changed a bit.

Yeah, the Greek section (where I had reserved seats for 4 out of my 5 undergrad years) at LSU wasn't big on school colors. A white button down shirt was the closest I got to wearing school colors. Too frat to care -- we were more concerned with getting as much booze into the stadium as possible.

But I remember how noticeable it was when we went on road trips how all the non-students (the old people as I thought of them then!) at other stadiums would dress in school colors relative to how few did at LSU.

So I was pretty damn impressed when DiNardo got as many people as he did to show up wearing the same color. It hadn't really been done at LSU in my lifetime to that point.

If that 70% chance of rain plays out you will probably see a lot of yellow - as in rain slickers.
