I'll allow it. You need the wildcard slot for Bama's auto-bid in the years they don't win the SEC.

Byes wouldn't be the way to go.

Add the AAC as a power conference. It's a pretty good conference, and a lot of the member schools are freaking huge. It fits.

Then, have 2 wildcards. 8 teams. No conference matchups in the first round of the playoffs.

LSU lost to Bama in Tiger Stadium.

You don't honestly think the outcome would have been any different if the game was played in BR do you? Get real.

I have no idea why any LSU fan would want to relive last Saturday.

My opinion hasn't changed one bit, mulligans are bullshite. Losses carrying weight is the only thing keeping college football from the snoozefest the NFL has become. But my ideals don't carry a bit of weight, and 2011 proves that. Your media darling Tide set the precident. Bama lost at home and still got in, then so should LSU. You can't pick and choose when the system should respect a loss just because the shoe is on the other foot, especially when your loss just got blue balled by Bert, and sports one to Memphis.

Upvote this man. We had our chance, we lost. If there can only be one team in it should be the winner of the SEC.

If LSU somehow makes it to the SEC championship and wins as a one loss team then absolutely. That's the only way I see LSU making the playoff.

#9 kinda harsh IMO.

Was thinking like #6.

I guess it's because they weren't really that competitive.

Stanford got dominated by fricking Northwestern.

Iowa in the top 6.

Committee is fricking retarded.

Remember when Jeff Long said the quality of Bama's schedule made them deserving of being ahead of undefeated TCU, Baylor, Iowa etc even with the home loss to then 2 loss Ole Miss?

We've got 2 wins over top 20 teams, only loss on the road to #2. Yet were sitting behind Iowa, Baylor and one loss Stanford? so much for consistency.

Surely, you can understand the committee has placed a new weight on strength of schedule.

Ohio State has played the 56th toughest schedule in college football this season.
