LSU fanbase's opinion on mulligans will dramatically change in about an hour

That's my prediction.
Oh I should note, if at the end of the year it's completely obvious to everyone that LSU is one of the 4 best teams in the country, they should be in, regardless of them winning a conference or not.
A conference championship is one of several important criteria in play, but it's not a deal breaker by itself.

Of course it will, WE HAVE A PLAYOFF NOW.
This isn't the BCS when you could only have two teams.
Nice try though........You realize you lost a game too right.

LSU will be 7th, I think.
I don't think they'll put us ahead of Baylor, simply because the committee seems to like Baylor so much.

Nope. They said now that there is a 4 team playoff, it is different. At the same time they have said you should win your conference to go to the playoffs.

The BCS WAS a playoff, it was just a 2 team playoff.

1. Clemson
2. Alabama
3. Ohio State
4. LSU

Where are those you should win your conference guys?

Nope they gonna melt, again...

being voted into the top-4 is a little different than being voted into the top-2 wouldn't you say? all things considered LSU should not even sniff a rematch unless the teams ahead of them lose or have vastly inferior resumes.
if at the end of the season LSU and Bama are both 1 loss teams.. and there is only one spot available.. give it to the SEC winner, period. if there are two spots available because multiple teams start to lose games.. well then it may be time for a discussion

a 1 loss LSU has a much better resume than a 1 loss Stanford, a 1 loss Big12 team, or 1 loss Notre Dame IMO.

This is the thread where you see LSU fans spin like a top.

a 1 loss Pac12/Big12 champion has a much better resume IMO. 1 loss Notre Dame.. may need to be bumped depending on resume.
thankfully ND and Stanford play each other. One of the two is out.

I actually think Notre Dame actually has a slightly better résumé than LSU at this point.
Wins over Temple, Navy, and Southern Cal, and a better loss.
LSU will be over Stanford, and should be over Iowa and Baylor, too. However, I think the committee will have Baylor higher, putting LSU at 7.

We just said that to get under your skin. We never really meant it.

i meant it. if for example a 2 loss Florida team wins the SEC.. and that's a team that the runner-up beat.. then you may have to give it to the SEC west runner up. or leave the SEC out.
i'd rather see a play off consist of all p5 conference champions squaring off. that would be the fricking tits.
1) SEC
2) Big12
3) Big10
4) ACC
5) Pac12
6) Wildcard/Independent automatic qualifier
#1 and #2 seed get BYEs.
Game 1: #3 vs #6
Game 2: #4 vs #5
Game 3: #1 vs Weakest Seed
Game 4: #2 vs Next Weakest Rank
Final game

I still mean it.......but you have to understand that it has to be valid in the discussion of best teams.
A 3 loss conference champ sure as shite doesn't hold the same weight as a 1 loss divisional runner up.
This is a new era. Bama just had 1 loss and was voted in the top 4......Surely, you can understand the committee has placed a new weight on strength of schedule.

You mean all p5 champs except the PAC 12. I'm down with that.
