rumor has it that he was extremely pissed when we passed on him. i believe they left him hanging at a meeting to discuss the job. thats why he ran the score up on us every chance he got when he was at Florida.

For spurrier yes, esp if we are talking when miles first came on board.
I rather have Mark Richt than Kevin summlin

I wouldn't trade him, no. But there are a number of SEC coaches I'd be fine with LSU hiring if he retired.

so does that mean A&M would get Miles and we'd get Sumlin?

then hell no....they might actually field a defense and have a shot at beating us.

Most of them are just going to say "No."

Those same people would say "No." if you asked them if they would trade Harris or Jennings for Jameis Winston. Just how they roll

No....Miles fits the culture, recruits well and wins games.

eh, idk. I think a black coach could do some damage in south LA with recruiting. Keep the same coordinator personnel, so the D is still there, and have Sumlin to recruit QBs for LSU.

I'd like it. But not to replace Miles, obviously.

Is Malzahn too much of an unknown commodity to consider? The argument being made against Spurrier's age could work in favor for a coach like Malzahn.

I'd like Malzahn. I think he's a great coach. I think Pinkel could be successful at LSU too. There is a lot of advantages at LSU and it'd be a "just don't frick it up" situation, like Miles had.

No. Why? Because Freeze is a much better coach than Sumlin. I'll defend that all day. Is Spurrier a better coach than Freeze? LOL, yeah, but Spurrier is about to retire, so I wouldn't trade Freeze for Spurrier, because who fricking knows who we would be left with two years from now if we traded for Spurrier.

I'd only trade Freeze for Saban. Malzahn and Freeze are very similar coaches...I just like Freeze's recruiting better.

Obviously, I'm exaggerating but you get my point...and you know it's true. Some LSU fans on this board think y'alls walk-on freshman long snapper is a better DB than VH3

I'm amazed that people call bullshite on LSU fans being happy with Miles. The dude is 20th in active college winning percentage and only 3 of the people ahead of him have more seasons and the majority of them have less than 5 seasons under their belt as a head coach.

i have never understood the hate for Miles at all. The guy has very few bad seasons despite some bone headed calls and shitty quarterbacks (and offense in general a few years). The guy has a BCSNC and 2 SEC Championships to his credit.
