LSU would have certainly intrigued Spurrier had Saban would have left LSU earlier but LSU would not have been able to offer the Masters membership.
Hiring coaches is not easy and Miles has more than followed Saban and the transition was smoothless and over the years Miles has been his own stamp on the program.
Just remember all it takes is one bad hire to set your program back for the next 5/10 years. LSU had one in Hallman and paid dearly for it. Bama was this close to hiring Rich Rod - where would Bama be had that come to fruition.

Just look at what each coaches record is AT LSU. Also, Miles is a better fit for SE LA. Personality wise.

he hasn't. i also tend to reserve anointing freeze as an above average coach until he wins more than 8 games in a season at ole miss.

That's fine. You realize it will happen this year, right?
And Freeze has run CIRCLES around Les in both appearances. From a coaching stand-point, Freeze won both games. We raped y'all in 2012, just had Korvic Neat on the team. It is, what is. We lost, but Miles can't seem to find a solution for ole Freeze.

Gotta agree. Freeze makes Les look like that cultural fit for Louisiana.

No. I wouldn't trade anyone on our current staff for anyone else.
