Coach O is a joke, if we get beat by that piece of trash I'll take a permanent ban from this trash hole!

I've never heard of an Athletic Director helping a football coach review game film. That's embarrassing honestly.

Really?

There was a rumor a few weeks ago that some of Auburn's PTB (Jacobs?/big money Boosters) basically laid down the law to Gus about his meddling in the offense. And with the swiftness Lindsey goes up to the booth and Gus shows up on the sideline with no clipboard.

So who was responsible for clipping the HC's wings and issuing directives to take his paws out the AU offense?

That sounded odd when it first became known, and the more details that come out, the worse it sounds.

Lots of people complain that Alleva is meddling too much, but I wonder if he feels he has to with Orgeron.

Someone on the rant posted a picture of Alleva on the sideline, facepalming. Want to say this might have been the Syracuse game. If that photo was real (and it looked like it), and he now feels compelled to call meetings like this, I can see him leaving ASAP. I mean, I have little sympathy for the man, but I think the issues run way higher than his pay grade. Inmates are truly running the asylum here, I'm afraid.

CEO thanked and praised Alleva in his post game presser after the UF win. Said he appreciated the support and help from Alleva.

Maybe Joe was there as a sounding board? Maybe he wants LSU to succeed and feels like his presence would calm the coaches and take emotion out of the equation?

As much as it saddens me to say, yes its very embarrassing. Cant do anything but admit it.

But at the same time, SC COCKS suck as bad as LSU.

I don't know how to look at it, both teams are 4-2..

So does this mean SC sucks as bad as LSU, or does LSU suck as bad as SC

Alleva hitched his wagon to Orgeron. He had to get this hire right, or he was gone.

I don't like it one bit, but I can understand why Alleva is doing everything he can to make sure the football team succeeds.

Two completely different scenarios. Gus told to trust his coordinators. Coach O is having his boss sit in with him to help him analyze film.

Two different scenarios resulting in both HC's being told told how to do the job they're getting paid handsomely to do.

Are the men giving out directives and orders qualified to do so? Do they have HC experience? What do Joe Alleva or Jay Jacobs know about drawing up a game plan, managing a roster, setting up plays and schemes for an opponent?

IDK, I just can't see how either scenario is a good thing in a high-level program.

It's not, however Jacobs wasn't helping Malzahn look for strengths and weaknesses.

I've been thinking for a while that Alleva was forced to hire O. Gotta remember, Alleva isn't in total control here. Even a dumb shithead like him couldn't possibly want to put his job in the hands of O.

I think it's worse, because Malzhan is in his 5th yr at AU (6th as a HC) and Jacobs giving directives to Gus about his area of expertise shows that Jay thinks Gus is actually the weakness.

It's neither here nor there, but I can't imagine any HC appreciating higher ups in the program coming down and telling them how to run their program and how to coach their damn team.

Remember when Edwards was elected Governor? First thing he did was threaten to defund and get rid of LSU football. I wonder how much that threat from the governor weighed on the decision to hire a cheap coach like O.

I mean, if I was AD I'd try and watch game film w coaches because it sounds interesting.

This sounds like Alleva is a teacher supervising detention

Given his buyout, I don't think hiring O was a financial decision. Going to be an expensive hire.

LSU fans want there to be an for alternantive to the reality that their admin got suckered in by a hometown idiot
