I'll have less of an issue if LSU plays A&M at home on Saturdays. i.e the way it should be.

I don't think the Tday or the day game on T+1 works well just because of the drive. For the most part, the reason it worked for us in the past is that the majority of both fanbases lived within 3 hours of both stadiums. You can do family and the game. But we're too far apart and so it's just fricked. Saturday would be fine but I'd honestly prefer a prime time slot Friday.

You really think going up against the Detroit Lions is really going to hurt your exposure?

You keep mentioning the Lions. This question is serious: Are you fricking retarded?

It doesn't bother me nor do i think it will be that big a deal for anyone posting here (as long as it's @ Kyle only)

The problem is going to come with our mothers/grandmothers/wives/girlfriends, etc.

Fair enough, but my response was to the "Boo hoo competing against the NFL, o no! What will all us swamp kittens do! Whtching the Lion is so much more imporant! We can't compete against the NFL" crowd. Even before I was an Aggie, football was a fixture of Thanksgiving. Unless you're super determined to be one of the 8,000 of our what? 2 million LSU fans that HAS to go to EVERY road game, why would this be bad what so ever. Competing against ONE NFL game isn't a big deal, and when it is in Baton Rouge, I'm sure you'll get your pick.

The Lions play every Thanksgiving. More often than not, this will be one of the games on at the same time as LSU/Texas A&M. Are you fricking retarded?

No. It won't be. There are three NFL games on Thanksgiving now and the Lions don't play in the prime time game.

After thinking about it, not really worried about it. It will suck next year but after playing the game at Tiger stadium on Saturday the following year we will have proof that viewership will be better playing the game on Saturday and therefore it will change

Wrong, actually. Detroit and Dallas always host the first two thanksgiving games of the day, respectively. The night game will be revolving and will never involve Detroit or Dallas.

A&M goes up against Texas in recruiting in a big way and Texas has tried to sell their TDay game as a reason to go there.

Wow, this is a reach.

It will be interesting to see who picks up the game. I would imagine it would not be CBS picking up the game, which will immediately hurt ratings. I wouldn't be shocked if the TV ratings ultimately drove them to not do this every other Thanksgiving.

yeah if we can finally get that home game back to Saturday permanently that would be so great.

Oh absolutely. If playing at Kyle on T-Day means they play us in DV on Saturday, I'd be all for it.

At first I thought the game would be on T-Day at both venues and I was about to light the Internet on fire.

the problem is that may not be to your (our) benefit. ESPN gave the Big 12 game to Fox because they are getting an SEC game on Tday. The fact that more people watch Sat may not matter to them because it's about the marginal ratings vs their alternative in that spot - the Egg Bowl.

CBS could want that game while Fox is playing their NFL game... why are you assuming it will be at night?

So silly. So you think on a Saturday, competing with like 90% of every other college rivalry is going to garner LESS ratings than competing against a single NFL game? Wow the coonasses are terrible fans if they care more about the NFL.

my guess is it will alternate. Years in CS we're on Tday and years in BR the Egg Bowl would be. ESPN has an SEC slot now. Someone is playing then.
