58.8% completion percentage. Good.

7 TDs, 5 ints, 2 fumbles. Not too good.

QBR 34.6 Total QBR 17.8. Not good at all.

0-4 as the starter. Just Bad.

These guys have all done pretty well. Blue didnt have a very good game yesterday but the other 3 all showed out.

Mett doesn't belong in the group with them, IMO

Miles gets the groceries, but his cookbook only contains one recipe.

The NFL thing is a LA thing. Even other schools outside the state will have a disproportionate amount of LA players drafted.

And for those players that are starters from out of state on LSU's roster, we have a disproportionate amount that make it to the league.

I do think that the reputation that has developed helps some players get noticed and some others become overrated due to this reputation. Ones that come to mind are the Jalens for LSU. After half of his freshman season, Jalen Collins was being labeled as a top pick, and I don't see it.

Mills is still listed as a top 5 safety, and that is either an indictment on this year's safety class or a case of reputation, because Mills is not going to succeed IMO.

There are several rookie wrs having just as good or better a year statistically as Beckham.
Odell Beckham Jr has only played in 7 games, though.

He's a rookie QB who started the season as #3 on the depth chart. He's also on an absolutely dreadful team with no running game, a terrible defense, and a terrible OL. I think Mettenberger has done very well all things considered, much better than I anticipated. You also have to remember he's still less than a year removed from a knee injury.

You left out 1103 yards in 4 starts and a QB rating of 86.7. And, the Titans are a terrible football team anyway. His stats are even more impressive when you consider how bad Tennessee is.

AND, he is a ROOKIE NFL QB. When do you see rookies put up these kind of numbers?

I never said that LSU players were dominating the league. But, they are beginning to turn in dominating performances one game at at time. They are very impressive. If you can't see that and if you want to pick and choose stats, then so be it.

For rookies in the NFL, the LSU players are playing incredibly well.

Not saying he will turn out the same way, but Peyton Manning, also on an awful team his rookie season, had 28 picks and a much lower QBR than Mettenberger. I hope people didn't really expect a rookie QB to put up awesome numbers on an awful team.

Maybe so. I like the way you call people "slick," though. Probably makes you feel like a man. Also, the way you LOL at others. Probably felt all Alpha typing that, like you had accomplished something today.

Well done.

his point is that no one expected a 6th round pick sitting at 3rd on the depth chart, coming off of knee surgery, to be starting for an NFL team at the most important position on the field...and playing well since he became the starter

surely you can grasp that concept

yeah, 86.7 out of 158.3.

I've watched all of Mett's starts for the Titans. He is not exactly killing it. His TD to Hunter yesterday was a gift from the DB who had it go off his hands and land in Hunter's.

no it wasn't. the DB barely got a fingertip on it. it's not like he dropped a pick. he was lucky to even get a hand on it if anything.

Spin: Hunter's touchdown, his third of the season, was a bit flukey, as the pass should have been picked off, but bounced off a defensive back's hands and right into Hunter's hands as he was in stride toward the end zone. The 10 targets were certainly encouraging and up next is a Week 13 matchup against a Texans defense allowing the second-most passing yards per game this season.

I don't think he can. I never expected Mett to get a start this season.

SECSolomonGundy has completely lost all objectivity at this point. He is dissecting Mett's passes to find the ones that we shouldn't actually give him credit for.

This is hilarious.
