An LSU fan calling the past irrelevant. Sounds familiar.

I'm sorry, but how does winning a Super Bowl help Eli Manning complete passes in 2014?

His passer rating sucks. His TD to INT ratio is abysmal. Seriously, go look at the numbers.

ODB has only played 7 games. Totals don't make good comparisons when one guy has played 10 games and another has played 7.

ODB faced the same challenges in his first few games, genius.

This has been addressed. Eli's passer rating is closer to McKown's than to Aaron Rodger's.

yards per catch

Is maybe the one statistical category that Evans has on OBD. As a counterpoint, consider that ODB has caught 41 passes in 7 games (nearly 6 per game), while Evans has caught 49 in 10 games (nearly 5 per game).

How often are QBs throwing to Petersons side?

No idea, but he was sucking about midway this season and even admitted to it

Peterson has given up an opposing passer rating of 132.4 when targeted this season (12th highest among all corners) and has allowed four touchdowns in coverage (tied for third-most). Pro Football Focus has him rated as their 77th ranked corner out of a possible 103. Yikes.

Your argument doesn't really hold weight either. You're just assuming Beckham would have performed at or above his average in those 3 games, which is impossible to determine. Fact is, the guy isn't even in the top 50 receivers right now. Much less considered a better receiver than Johnson, Green, Jones, Thomas, Gordon, Bryant, Jeffrey, Marshall, Brown, etc.

Those guys are among the best at their position. Speaking Beckhams name in the same breath as theirs is beyond laughable.

Evans has scored 8/10 (.8). ODB has scored 5/7 (.72). We're talking about a single TD (if ODB had 6, he'd be at .86).

I'm not seeing the big deal, especially when receiving TDs are a bit of a roulette anyways.

So that doesn't matter, but averaging 3 more yards per start does. Good God

Dude he is 10th in YPG. 10th in the NFL. Time to wake up, the season has progressed.

One per game is systematic. One overall might be random.

All of this was in response to a BuccWild claiming that Evans was having a better rookie year than ODB. That is not the case. They are both having great years, in fact. Probably the two best rookies.
