You're on the side of the argument that says he's one of the best receivers in the league, and I don't watch the NFL?

The offensive rookies from LSU are all playing well, but Mike Evans is a beast. He's probably going to win ROY unless Hill goes off to end the season. Being on a playoff contender helps hill a lot.

OBJ looks like a top 20 WR since getting healthy.

Hill is the best rookie RB in the league this year.

Landry is looking top 30ish in the last few games. He and Tannehill have something cooking down in Miami.

Mett is playing decent, which is a bit of a surprise to me honestly.

Blue is the biggest surprise of all. He's playing really well in place of Foster.

Patrick Peterson

Beckham will be a 1st round fantasy guy by next year and will make a push for ROY

LSU has a number of guys doing well in the NFL, and have had a number of guys in he past do well in the NFL.

Don't try to downplay what these LSU rookies are doing.

then why is he the highest paid?

Already posted earlier - he's having a bad year. Through the midway point the guy was in the bottom of active corners in the league.

Mett threw for over 340 yards for the Titans
Jeremy Hill is having a breakout season for the Bengals
Landry had 2 TDs for the Dolphins
ODB had possibly the most spectacular NFL catch ever for the Giants.
Jamarcus closed down a Golden Corral.

ALL in all, an outstanding week.

LSU and Bama both put a lot of guys in the NFL, period.

So many completely miserable people in this thread. Part jealousy and part wanting to make sure that they denigrate any accomplishment from anyone who didn't play for their chosen college.

Their team is awesome. Everyone else sucks no matter what. All of the time.

The SEC Rant has become a complete disaster.

This post was a positive take on LSU players in the NFL. It didn't compare LSU players to anyone else. It didn't put anyone else down. Yet, the automatic response is "LSU sucks and has a horrible team this year and LSU players are terrible rabble, rabble, rabble ...."

Like I said. A bunch of completely miserable people. It is just so boring and predictable at this point, why do you guys even bother to respond?

I'm downplaying to rein yall in. The truth is their performance lies in the middle.

Fwiw I never disputed in this thread they're having good seasons. I disputed that Mathieu and Beckham are considered some of the top players at their position. They are not, not even close.

What's sad is that there are multiple guys from other SEC school performing even better than those mentioned here, I missed the threads on that though.

Some were painful responses, sure - but the claim that several were the "best at their position" was caused several people to chime in.

LSU players are doing well so far, but considering how many times I've read LSU fans try and tear down every Alabama player ever to be drafted, you're going to have to be willing to get as well as you give.

They are solid players, but some of our fans need to simmer down with the "best" at the position talk.

I am simply responding to the OP and the responses he got right away from a bunch of completely miserable people.

The OP didn't say anything out of line. YES, LSU rookies are dominating. When you run for 150 yards and 2 TDs as a rookie or when you throw for 350 yards as a rookie or when you have 150 yards and 2 TDs receiving, that is pretty dominant.

Does anyone think that LSU rookies are the BEST in the NFL at their position? No. That is stupid. Some of that kind of thing was said later in the thread which is stupid, but the denigrating comments came right away.

My point is that this board is toxic that every single post is just seen as an opportunity to flame and run down by everyone. It is pointless.

Do you want me to praise Alabama players to make you feel better? Eddie Lacy is amazing. Julio Jones is really, really good. Quite a few Alabama defensive players are making their mark in the NFL. You should feel good about the NFL talent that Alabama is putting into the League. It is obvious.

There is nothing wrong with an LSU fan talking about LSU talent in the NFL on the SEC Rant. The fact that it draws out completely stupid negativity from every other fanbase just demonstrates what a disaster this board is. SEC fans apparently know more than NFL scouts, coaches, and commentators. Whatever.

That wasn't what the OP was saying and you went straight negative right away. Where did he mention that Mathieu and Beckham were top players? Where was that said before you went negative? He said that LSU players were dominating. They are. Beckham was dominant last night. Hill has been dominating. Alfred Blue has been dominating. When you run or catch for 150 yards and 2 TDs, that is a dominant performance in the NFL. It is near perfect. It doesn't mean that you are considered one of the best players at the position.

Your hate for all things LSU is so strong that you see everything through that lens.

Plus, who appointed you to "rein" us in? LSU is having a crappy football season. If an LSU fan wants to get excited about SOMETHING and doesn't flame anyone else, why do you feel the need to "rein yall in"?

O'Dell Beckham's catch was the greatest thing that happened for LSU this season. We get it.

Because most, not all, bama fans can't stand for any SEC talk that doesn't involve their team. They will take any topic and bring it back to how bama is better than everyone else in the SEC. This is in no way exclusive to bama fans, but they are the worst about it.

Miserable, miserable people.

The rest of America goes nuts over what happened last night but BamaFan sits in the corner and is miserable about it because it doesn't involve his team. How miserable do you have to be? Just enjoy your run and recognize that every once in a while something great happens involving people that aren't you. It isn't that hard, really.

By the way, congrats to Alabama on having the best team in the SEC and being ranked #1. They have earned it. Very good football team with very good coaches and players.
