The only variable I see playing in to them having less success in Omaha is possibly not having their horde backing them up. The home crowd has been instrumental in favorable strike zones for them.
I really wish State's home crowds would behave a little bit more like these guys. Instead of relying on the LFL to intimidate opposing players we need the blue-hairs in the seats to be more vocal as well instead of complimenting the bastards.
But none of those frickers appear to work so I am sure they will bring a big crowd to Omaha.

In order to fix the problem you must recognize that there is a problem. If we keep our head in the sand UL will eventually be ahead of LSU in everything but football.
It's called the Mark Hudspeth effect. You can't simply put someone from Mississippi with so much win in him that he pisses excellence in a place to coach football without all sports improving.

While I agree to a point, Coach Robichaux and Coach Lotief have been successful for a long time. UL had a basketball coaching problem and they have kind of fixed it even though they could still do better.
Coach Hudspeth has done a great job in Lafayette. The thing about him that scares me is that he has been offered a few jobs that pay very well and he is choosing to stay in Lafayette. He is a Rock Star here, but he also continues to live a very normal life. His wife loves Lafayette and if it is up to her I understand they will stay here forever.
I will always be an LSU fan but I must admit that it has been fun living in the Lafayette area during the past few seasons seeing a school that is not expected to have success doing very well!

When the time comes Hudspeth will return to Mississippi to coach his dream job.

How many national titles has ull won? That will end the discussion real quick. Cajuns have one good season and have still not won anything yet, but their fans are acting like they won a title. Win 6 titles like us then you can start comparing.

Still boggles my mind that the Cajundome has suites and the PMAC doesn't.
Cajundome
PMAC
I guess it helps that ULL got the state and the city to both chip in to build them as part of a convention center. ULL has it going on right now.

I love how some fans on here say that our fans "beat our chests" because we are having successful sports programs. Can a fan be proud of their team's success? I'm proud of what our team has done this season, and for a school with only an $18 million budget; to have this kind of success speaks volumes.

What part of your athletic budget is only $18 million?
Edit: holy moley, your total athletic budget really is only $18 million.

Butt hurt? Like I said win national titles then you can talk. Isn't there a board full of delusional fans called ragin pagin? Try there. Other than that stfu.

Is it even possible to put suites in the PMAC? It'd be a very expensive undertaking.
We need to make sure we put out a product that will demand luxury seating first

Mark Hudspeth effect.
But you can not discount the "Ray Authement retiring" effect either
It is really incredible the amount of capital projects and improvements in athletics since he has retired. He was the roadblock the whole time.
