Really pulling for OM to bounce back and steal this series.

They have a solid team and look poised to make a run in Omaha.
Easily the best team OM has played this year.

What does Omaha stand for again?

I just really want Trent to pitch us to a win tomorrow ... If we lose on Monday we lose on Monday but ULL won't be walking around so loose with that swagger in a Monday elimination game... I think they might tighten up a bit... Of course OM probably will as well.
Ole Miss looked good last night, ULL just played perfect ball. Win tonight and it flips the script. Anything could happen Monday.

Leaving the pitcher in way too long cost Ole Miss the game. Pitchers need a shorter leash when playing on the road. Cajuns had all the momentum after that and there was no looking back. Cajuns can hit fastballs, they have struggled hitting soft throwing lefties who rely on junk.

Take off the purple and gold glasses man. It's obvious to everyone that ULL>>LSU in baseball this year. Obvious is obvious.
ETA: Add softball this year to the list. ULL won the Super Regional over Arizona and made it to Oklahoma City so there's that as well...

FYI LSU swept Miss St and took 2 out of 3 from Ole Miss. LSU has beat these teams as well. Look at strength of schedule, LSU schedule was a lot harder.

We lost. The team that beat us lost. We lost in softball. The team that beat us in softball lost to ULL.
In order to fix the problem you must recognize that there is a problem. If we keep our head in the sand UL will eventually be ahead of LSU in everything but football.
This is not a money problem. This is not name problem. This is a coaching problem.

ULL can't sustain success...that's the knock
But they have a strong group this year, no doubt
As for Ole Miss.....par for the course

I agree. Ellis should have been taken out when he showed no control of his fastball and when it was still 3-1. At least then you might can bring him back 3rd game in relief to close a game out.
When they finally did take him out, I thought they should have left him in. Hell, the bases were cleared and the lead was gone at that point. No pressure just pitch. It's likely he would have found a groove and limited ULL to 5 or 6 runs instead of 9.
I know it's armchair managing, but I was saying it to my wife as it was happening. Then when I said "leave him in" she looked at me crazy and said "You just said take him out!"
Those decisions though are what make you or break you in these tournaments. I don't pretend to know more than the coaches but those are gut calls anyway.

Go ahead and put basketball on the list too for being the only Louisiana team in the tournament.

TBH I never seen an athletic year this good for the Cajuns. Best in history. Men's Football wins it third consecutive bowl game. Men's basketball was in the NCAA tourney. Softball was in the WCWS in OKC and Baseball has a great shot of going to Omaha and making some noise. Tennis was in the NCAA touney. The overall athletic program is headed in the right direction. I sat next to Mark Hudspeth at the game last night. You can feel the enthusiasm coming from all fans this year.

Yep. Very impressed with ULL last night, very solid all 3 phases and OM is pretty good.

Chill out skipper, it's one year.
To think ULL will surpass LSU in baseball as a program is laughable at best.
As for softball, whatever. It's softball. They can have it.

Agreed,Cajuns have a hell of a club.

I don't see them following 2 or 3 walks/HBP/errors with a homer at TD Ameritrade. They seem to always have more runs than hits.
If our soft-arse swinging bitches produced a HR in TD Ameritrade last year then ULL will have no problem.
