Maybe so, but there was a WHOLE lot of rustled jimmies and crow to eat on here after all the shite y'all talked for like a month and how LSU was gonna win by at least 30. There's also a good chance it kept y'all out of the Sugar Bowl.

well sure. for those who take this site seriously, I would imagine that loss stung so much more. thankfully I don't give a frick about rant dialogue

1988 LSU in Red Stick - Earthquake game. Lost 7-6 on the only drive they got past the 50 yard line all night. We had the best team in the country that year

Didn't you also lose the Sugar Bowl (that you shouldn't have been playing in) to Florida State that year?

1982 Tulane. This was supposed to be our revenge for an embarrassing blowout loss the year before. We were heavily favored, headed to the Orange Bowl and playing at home, and they had a losing record. Reggie Reginelli abused our defense on a wet night in Tiger Stadium and Tulane won 31-28.

1997 Ole Miss. After upsetting #1 Florida the previous week, we looked like the prime contender to win the SEC West, but a lackluster letdown performance resulted in a 36-21 loss to Ole Miss that kept us from making our first trip to the SECCG.

2000 UAB. Just embarrassing. When we got the ball deep in our territory in the final minute tied 10-10, I assumed Saban would run out the clock to get to overtime. I remember thinking how embarrassed we were going to be having to go to overtime to beat lowly UAB. Then Josh Booty found a way to make that seem great by comparison, improvising on a play (Saban was trying to run out the clock) and throwing a pick to set up UAB's game winning FG.

2002 Arkansas. The Miracle on Markham. With the SEC West title on the line for both teams, we shut Matt Jones down the whole game and led 20-14 with 40 seconds left. Then we decided to blow a coverage in prevent defense on a 50-yard bomb and then gave up a 25-yard TD pass with 9 seconds left to lose 21-20.

2004 Auburn. Shitty call by the refs on a missed XP that would have left the game tied instead gave Auburn a second chance, which they converted for a 10-9 win. It was the their toughest game in a 13-0 season.

2004 Capital One Bowl vs. Iowa. Saban was leaving and we looked like shite for three quarters. Jamarcus Russell led a beautiful 4th quarter comeback to take a 25-24 lead in the final minute, but it all slipped away on a 57-yard hail mary as time expired.

2005 Tennessee. After all that had happened with Katrina, we blew a 21-0 halftime lead as our exhausted defense couldn't handle the extreme heat and humidity or a transfer backup QB that could never win the starting job at LSU but led the Vols back from behind for a 30-27 OT win.

2006 Auburn. We got absolutely cheated by the crooked refs. It cost us a definite SEC West title and a potential SEC and national title.

2007 Arkansas (for 9 days). We were at home, ranked #1 in the nation and headed for the national championship, and it all seemed to go down the drain in a 3-OT 50-48 loss to the Pigs. 9 days later, the pain went away as we got into the BCSNCG anyway.

2011 BCSNCG. Alabama shouldn't have been in the game, but they were and we for some reason thought we could just show up and be coronated the GOAT. Hungry Alabama got revenge for the Game of the Century.

2012 Alabama. It was our chance to avenge 1/9/12 and put ourselves in position for the NC, but Chavis Chavised all over that bitch and we gave up a game-winning drive in the final minute after shutting them down the whole second half.

2013 Ole Miss. This was the game that started the decline. Going into it, we were NC contenders. The 4-TD underdog Rebels beat us with their second string defense, as Mett decided to have the worst game of his career (or damn close) and of course Chavis' defense gave up the game winning drive in the final minute, again.

2014 Alabama. Chavis Chavised again and we couldn't hold a 3-point lead for 50 damned seconds. If we had held on to win, we probably wouldn't have folded the tent for the season and lost the next week to Arkie, which would have meant we would have won the SEC West after an absolutely horrible start to the season.

2016 Wisconsin. Although my head had known for a long time, this is when I knew in my heart it was all over with Les Miles.

* 1979 LSU vs Southern California in Tiger Stadium. 17-12 loss. Bogus facemask penalty late in the game, kept USC drive going and eventual winning TD.

* The now infamous 01/09/12 "Hey Coach, let me Play" (Jarrett Lee) 21-0 NC debacle.

* 2012 Chavis "Prevent Defense" prevents a win against Gumps. Yeldon.

* 1982 31-28 loss to Tulane

* 1973 14-0 loss to Tulane.

Deion Sanders came from across the field like a streak out of nowhere to pick off a pass intended for Freddie Weigand in the endzone which would have given us a 14-13 victory. We were 2 plays from perfection that year. Still the best Auburn defense ever fielded.

Also, that '14 Auburn team was very overrated like recent A&M teams and got exposed, as evidenced by their late season collapse.

Nobody is overrating that team....That team had no defense and the team shitted the bed at the worst moments against shitty teams like TAM. All we had to do was successfully snap the ball and we win.
TAM has been overrated since joining the conference as well. Not sure why you're talking..

2006 Arkansas and UGA. Just another example of Tubs playing down to the competition. We had already beat UF and would've beat the brakes off of Ohio State.

Stoerner fumble against Tennessee back in Nutts first year. All the momentum we had died right there on that field.

Last year finishing out with back to back second half collapses against a terrible Mizzou team and Va. Tech.

This years NCAAT loss to UNC.

.... oh and the Fiasco at Florida when the refs realized we were about to beat Tebow and made sure we didn't.

Was that the game where Auburn kept the ball the entire 3rd quarter? I have not seen that before or since. Literally had the ball all quarter.

2006 versus South Carolina at Columbia. Auburn got the ball coming out of the half, long drive, score, onside kick recovery, long drive. It was the quintessential Tuberville quarter.

Funny, we never had that problem with refs or Tebow... he never beat us. Neither did Emmett Smith!

I already mentioned A&M being overrated, except for 2012, that is. It was a reply to TailbackU's comment about Auburn being tired or something against A&M, but you're saying it was because you choked. Was it both or what? Not sure why you're making excuses...
