Bama is #46 on that list...did we make a mistake by extending Saban?

Absolutely. I would fire him right now if I was you.

I really do not get Miami. My understanding is the talent within 60 miles of them should lock them into the top five every year. But apparently, their admin does not really give a shite. The last time I read anything about their program, it was lamenting the shite facilities etc.

Also isn't the campus in one of the worst parts of town, or is that just USC?

Richt got fired because he would take teams full of guys like Stafford, Moreno, Green and Massaquoi and lose 49-10 because they were soft as baby shite on the LOS

That game was 49-3 and then we took Stafford out.

They did not fire him based on his recruiting. It was more due to he was the most tenured SEC coach and they watched Saban do what he has done, Miles, Chiz, Gus, Urban. All won titles within the first few years.

This ^^^
Georgia under Richt may be the second most underachieving program in the country behind Texas.
A distant second because Texas is the most underachieving program by far!
A program like Georgia should be in the mix every year for the SEC Championship with a shot for a National Championship

I'm thinking the OP is Mark Richt and is still pissy about being fired and wants to rub UGA's nose in his newly found success.

And he wants to let y'all know he has also successfully led those thugs at "da U" to Jesus.

Their master plan is to hire Dan Mullen and have him bring his recruiting class. Don't worry he has many more double secret commits.

You didn't think this one through did you op? Richt's problem was never his recruiting, even though he got lazy as hell in his last 5 seasons. Smart just signed a better class than Richt ever did.

ut don't feel so bad Georgia Fans. While you guys are 12th in the SEC in Recruiting, and used to consistently finish in the top 5 under Richt, at least you or Ole Miss aren't as pathetic as Missouri who is somehow #14 in the SEC

One thing is certain - Missouri will still be 14th in the SEC in recruiting come NSD

The U is a shitty campus in a shitty part of a shitty city. Recruits in that area cannot be blamed for wanting to get out of that cess pool.

Richt lost like once or twice to Tech in 15 years. And he wore Auburn out most years. I'm glad he's gone.

I hear people keep saying this, but that hasn't been the case their entire existence as a program. So why do people try to make them more than what they are?

The in state recruiting talent has gotten exponentially better over the last 15-20 years.

Richt had the same problem that a Smart has and it's not recruiting . They both struggle to coach up the players and win on the field.

We haven't been horrible lately, but we have underachieved.
That's why we fired our coach.
I understand why Georgia did also.
Sooner or later you need to make at least a serious run at a championship.
Texas has more money than God in a talent rich state, playing in a weak arse conference and they have been embarrassingly bad.
