I just got a chance to view the recruiting rankings for 2018 and look who is at #1: Miami! The team that Mark Richt is the head coach for.

Interesting. I thought it was easy to recruit in Georgia and all. Thats what the Georgia fans said in least. But that was before they hired incompetent Kirby Smart. Yes the man that lost to 2-6 and last place in the West Ole Miss 45-14

But look at where Georgia is: 63. I thought we were making fun of the Ole Miss recruiting class and yet Georgia is only FIVE spots ahead of them.

But don't feel so bad Georgia Fans. While you guys are 12th in the SEC in Recruiting, and used to consistently finish in the top 5 under Richt, at least you or Ole Miss aren't as pathetic as Missouri who is somehow #14 in the SEC

Because recruiting rankings in May matter so much.

It's typically not as easy as simple grammar.

And? Yes, he lost a bad game to a bad team. Want to bring up the time that Richt lost 45-19 to first year HC Lane Kiffin? Or when Richt lost 27-3 to first year HC Jim McElwain? Because those happened.

I don't. We just had the #3 class. I'll wait and see how the product on the field looks this year. If it's good, I bet we'll see a better recruiting finish. If not, we could be looking for a new coach after next season.

Don't challenge it. "The winner" might be one of those short bus riders that sat up front. Nothing but dead neighborhood pets in the future. Sad really. Taxpayers always end up picking up the tab. People over fifty just shouldn't give birth. Our prayers are with it. Maybe there will be an open manhole cover or a low flying traffic chopper to end its misery.

They did not fire him based on his recruiting. It was more due to he was the most tenured SEC coach and they watched Saban do what he has done, Miles, Chiz, Gus, Urban. All won titles within the first few years.

The rap on Richt was that he had great recruiting and then would get humiliated by UF. Or lose to GT. Nuh-uh.

This is what I always thought about Richt.

Good guy to play for. Even better guy to play against.

Evil Mark Richt in 2007 was his high point. Wish they had a chance to play USC (fricking rose bowl)

Kirby brought in the #3 class in the nation last year, with 19 4* and above.
Richt brought in the #13 class in the nation last year, with 10 4* and above.

Georgia will likely have another top 5 class in the country this recruiting cycle. I highly doubt that Miami holds on to one.

Mark Richt was always good at getting kids to verbally commit early only to have them flip to another school by signing day. Rinse and Repeat. I wonder how many kids are getting "U" tattoos this weekend that eventually will end up at FSU or Florida?

I agree OP. Running off your most successful head coach in history just to hire Derek Dooley with a bowl cut was a very dumb move

Bama is #46 on that list...did we make a mistake by extending Saban?

You're new to this whole recruiting thing aren't you.

It's hilarious that you think Georgia should regret firing a coach because of recruiting rankings in May...

#8 Nebraska

#25 Kentucky
#28 BYU
#30 Boston College
#33 Maryland
#34 Cincinnati

Yep, things are changing for sure.
