No but i can absolutly say it's not civil. I'm sorry a vocal minority of your fans is resposible for the shirts i mentioned adn the actions taken at toomers but don't bullshite me and say "it's civil"

no vt without uva

I'm not sure if you know this, but UVA fought tooth and nail to keep VT out of the ACC.

Do away with divisions, keep 2-3 rival games as permanent opponents each year for each team, rotate all the rest, top 2 teams play in championship.

since some people aren't up to date with possibilities..

star in texas - tcu
star in Okla - Okl or OSU
Star in carolina - tarheels or NCstate
star in florida - FSU

but mostly just showing it's fine if we add VT for now and keep divisions.

Well you're probably not much different than me in that to me the biggest college football game of the year is Auburn/Georgia, but that's because I've grown up in Georgia.

That said, I wouldn't suggest turning off the Iron Bowl with a straight face.

3rd Sat in Oct. Plus, imagine the SEC CG if it ever did come down to Bama/Au meeting for the first time in that game for all the marbles. Huge

Well then play it on the 3rd saturday if its so untouchable.

You guys would be screaming bloody murder if there was a season you were left out of the sec championship gmae or nat'l championship game in favor or an undefeated auburn. "if we still played the iron bowl, we'd beat their asses." is how i imagine it'd go.

Auburn is further to the East than is Vandy. Just saying. Plus, your East-West is an All-Football division vs an All-Hoops division..

Fla will dominate that East. Your West survivor will be deadlegged for the Gators in Atlanta.

I've thought about this, as well. But the reason they fought so hard is because they potentially had a competitive advantage over Virginia Tech in the "super conference" the ACC was building at the time.

They might fight just as hard to keep Virginia Tech from gaining a competitive advantage by joining the SEC super conference.

I would rather play bama and auburn every year and keep them in the West because they are normally great games. I also want to keep Florida. I know it is a much harder schedule but that is all part of the fun. It would suck playing a shitty schedule all year just to be in the SEC championship every year.

Alright, I agree civil may not have been the right word to use but the Bama/AU rivaly is definitely more "tame" than the Bama/UT rivalry.

I went to a AU/UGA game a couple years ago and I was shocked because I thought AU hated us the most.

I didnt' suggest turning it off. Just said if we have to give up one or the other, which I'd prefer if forced to. That's all.

I don't know why you're feeling so offended because I'd rather keep Tenn as a rival, if forced to give up either of the two.

So you're saying the west would be:

LSU
Arkansas
State
Ole Miss
Texas A&M
Vanderbilt
Oklahoma/Missouri/Bum Juice U

granted UGA and Tenn aren't very good right now but you'd have 5 of the 6 traditional powers in one division.
