And for what? 1-2 more million dollars a year?
Is dumping all of the traditions and rivalries worth 1-2 million a year?

With UT down, UGA down, USCe a recent contender & UK & Vandy always down, the East was a UF lock.
Now, if Aub & Bama go East, it will be an LSU/Arky SEC West lock every year

Um have you not heard about mississippi state...they're the best.

No. I'd rather keep Tenn than Au. Tenn is a more historic and longer rivalry.

You'd have the ACC west. That's a shitty division if that happens.

Exactly. We would dominate that division.

Then again maybe we can catch Bama in NC's. Only 10 to go

I don't see them moving Bama or AU, but I do see them ending the cross division rivalries

Mississippi State would run the division if this occurred.

I mean, they already do, they'd just run it even harder.

Agreed. As much as a I hate Auburn... UT is a more blood boiling, bare knuckles brawling, good ole hatred game whereas I see the Auburn game as a more civil rivalry.

Stop it.

You know better. You've seen what happens to teams who play weak opponents throughout the year then meet up with the SEC Champ in the BCS. LSU would make it to Atlanta every year and be embarrassed every year.

Or we could boot them from the conference altogether then have LA and AL divide the state of MS evenly.

Looks very winnable, but as you hate for LSU, it wouldn't be as fun from a fan's perspective.

They should just do a goddamn round-robin.

I don't know if there's a way to maintain rivalries with the expansion. And, logically speaking, they might not need to try. If the SEC will forever be a 14 team conference, or 16, they need to do what makes the most sense geographically and setup the schedules in that sense. Rivalries will evolve.
