So? Doesn't invalidate my response to him.

Was Bama really the "measuring stick" 1980-1991?

Is it a sign AU is about to get the death penalty?

Exactly. I'd rather both schools keep border state rivals. Au/Ga is a great historic series and very close in overall record, just as Bama/Tn is. Would hate to see either of those lost.

The constants were fricking dumb in the first place. This is about equity, not about placating a minority of teams that want to hold on to their second biggest rivalry.

I'd be for it taking a break too.

Seriously, it's gotten outa hand lately even more than I can remember. Realign the conference and separate Alabama and Auburn. Want to play an Iron Bowl, win your division and play it in Atlanta. That'd be epic.

FML. we might as well just move to the Big 12.

Yeah that one is half SEC W and half Big 12 pieces.

I say we go with 4 divisions after we get to 16 teams

80's, I would say Lsu. Auburn had a horrendous, proven, cheating coach and staff. Can't really take them seriously during this time period anymore.

Not offended, just find it stupid. a couple times a year a few bammers get on her preach how great the ut game is, how you don't really care about the auburn game. Then i see roll duck roll shirts, i hate auburn, and dying trees, never again, do you know how much i hate these guys, and wonder where the frick you peopel are hiding that dont' care so much about it. becuase they sure as hell weren't at the iron bowl last year, adn they weren't the ones circling when auburn was trailing utah state. It's just a song and dance you do that based on the weight of the evidence i see with my own eyes does not apply outside of you...minus of course for your usual posting history of only being about auburn.

(I'm sure if you search REALLY hard, you'll find thousands of AlaHunter posts about Tennessee... just keep searching. Don't quit now... they're there. Just keep tryin'... )

Must you nit-pick over every positive thing someone says about UA?

Alabama, over the great majority of this conference's history, has been the best program. Picking certain arbitrary windows that UA has had bad times doesn't change the other 60-70 years of relatively great success.

I'm not reading this thread, but I wouldn't be surprised if they ignored geography and completely reshuffled the divisions. Something like this:

Auburn
Bama
UT
UGA
Vandy
Ole Miss
MSU

Arky
aTm
Florida
LSU
KY
USCe
FSU/VT

They don't have to have a East or West division. Who says the division has to be based on geographic location?

There's only one way that would bring "civility" back to the rivalry and personally I would prefer not going back to those bad ol' days.

Never said so much as this. Simply stated if forced to choose, I choose Tenn. In your smallminded world, you somehow construe this to mean I don't care about Au, even though I never came close to saying that.

so a simple edit on my part changing it to you don't care as much about the auburn game would satisfy you? You're just full of double talk, its annoying. As for your personal feelings i'm happy ut is your thing. But for a general "bama/ut riavalry is more important than bama/auburn, well i just think actions speak louder than words.
and I'm not just replying specifically to you, there are a few bama fans in here talking about civilty, or its more heated than the auburn game. That's wehre my confusion sets in. But as you pointed out i'm "simpleminded" so i suppose i just missed it.
