For the amount of talent bama brings in they have a surprisingly low amount of players that make it in the NFL

This just isn't true though. They have the same amount of guys that flame out as any other school.

Only some people find ways to deem Alabama players taken past the 4th round that don't perform well as busts.

eta: And people find ways to also call guys bust before they even finish their rookie seasons.

It's especially strange because I think they had three early entries go undrafted in 2013 and a couple others go very late in the draft. Either someone at LSU isn't giving them good advice or they were itching to get out of there

It's not just LSU, 40% of the underclassmen who declared last year weren't drafted.

Sort of off topic, but I wish there was a place to find these numbers once the season starts and see what the % of underclassmen don't find their way on to a roster at all.

Saying you have the same amount of guys that flame out doesn't help your case. You also have more highly ranked recruits than anyone else. Lower success rate of developing 5-stars?

I didnt say they had more players that flame out, I just said they dont have as many players that make it proportionally compared talent wise to other schools.

LSU has 55 players currently in the NFL and Bama only has 48.

Or, yunno, they like money and stuff. Strange suggestion, I know.

Whatever unhappiness you think they're feeling sure as hell isn't trickling down to the recruits.

Until you start paying our bills, why not worry about your own football program instead of ours

Dunno. All but one of our underclassmen were drafted this year. 3 weren't last year but 2 of them are still on an NFL roster.

Money is a good reason, but a lot of these guys would have made substantially more money if they would have waited a year.

LSU has expanded its locker room. Additional lockers are being consructed in Aggie and Gump heads by the minute.

Amazing what Saban does with such a talent disadvantage.

that's actually quite a bit. Seeing as bama gets 10 5 stars in each recruiting class

Wikipedia has individual articles for each draft class's underclassmen. Unfortunately you're either relying on their status remaining updated or checking them all yourself.

It isn't going to sway a recruit one way or another, but when you consider how hard it is to make it in the NFL it kinda is a big number.

I knew LSU had lost a lot of players, but I didn't imagine it would be twice as much as the next team. I know LSU has and will continue to have talent, but the margin isn't that large. Alabama has just as many talented young players, but they see to make the choice to stay in school.

LSU needs to upgrade their pay scale
