Can't blame McElroy for anything he's said since T'Sharven Bell scrambled his brain and knocked his arse out on his final play in Bryant Denny.

I am sorry about everything. I know things are tough. Maybe they will give you a little more slack on your ring. At least they let you post on the internet. Good for you.

Do Aggies actually believe they aren't the #2 program in Texas?

Sometimes A&M has the best team and other times is not even top 3 in state. Same for the horns. Y'all are trying way too hard to prove some silly talking point. It's pretty pathetic actually.

Best Aggie poster I’ve run across in a while. I actually hope y’all land a decent coach. It will be more fun with two strong TX programs in the SEC. Of course, I always want the good guys in Austin to win, but I wish yall some success too.

We're talking historically all time here, not a year here or there.

Yeah. It's just the following, the reputation, the status.

I mean the Mets won the World Series in 1986 and were constantly in the playoff discussion. The Yankees were never in it after 1981 (a six game WS loss) and it was one of their worst decades in history. But did the Mets ever get the same coverage for any considerable length of time in NY? No.

What's wrong with the Yankees was as big or a bigger story than what was right with the Mets.

It's like my uncle said about Richard Petty and stock car racing. Petty was so dominant at one point that when someone else won, the lead story wasn't about the winner but why Petty lost.

And everyone was cheating in the 80s/90s. Including your beloved longhorns.
Texas allegedly bought Hart Lee Dykes a pair of boots, the poster child for a kid with his hands out and recruiting violations.

Texas A&M gave a TransAm to Eric Dickerson, and got out bid by SMU. The Fed-Ex packages and the TransAm left a well documented paper trail. Boots are fungible, the source of which was never proved.

The then Governor of Texas, Bill Clements, when asked why SMU continued to pay kids after they got caught, said “We made a commitment to the kids.” Admirable in some respects, but also one of the reasons they got the Death Penalty (Institutional Control).

A&M earned, among other things, a TV ban, resulting in the Texas-Texas A&M game not getting broadcast and eventually moved to T+1, ruining the tradition of college football on Thanksgiving Day.

I mean, of course Auburn is no 2 to Bama. Hell, every other college football program in the country is behind Bama.

At least Auburn has had some success in my lifetime. They can put a run together and win at least a division and conference every now and then. Aggy? One 10 win season since the turn of the century in 2012. And that wasn't even enough to win their division.

Do you think McElroy was watching college football in 1988 or sucking from his mother's teet?

Since McElory hit puberty Texas has accomplished the following:

1 NC
1 NC Runner up
3 ToP 3 Finishes
4 Major Bowl Wins
2 Conference Championships
11 10+ win seasons
9-3 Record vs Texas A&M

Can Aggy claim any two of these accomplishments?

Surely you underachieving pawns have stumbled into at least 2 of those 31 TEXAS accomplishments right? Maybe?

You stupid motherfrickers are the 24k gold standard for entertainment.

The thing that the #2 or below teams in a state don't always realize is that even when they win the head to head matchup or end the season ranked higher, they're still the #2 program in the state.

GT has finished ranked higher than UGA before and beaten them. GT has never been the #1 program in Georgia. Even if UGA goes 0-12, they'll still be THE football program for the state.

This involves booster spending, recruit interest, national fan interest, state government investment, facilities, historic relevance, past results, national profile, money and a slew of other factors. It doesn't change because of how things go one season or even a string of five to ten seasons. It is almost impossible for it to shift.

The simplest way to look at it is how an OOC game looks on the schedule 10 years out. Michigan will look like a better opponent than MSU, even if MSU is coming off a playoff year where Michigan was average (that happened a few years ago). Alabama will look like a better opponent than Auburn. And yes, Texas will always look like a better opponent than A&M.

Isn’t that the ginger that built a 24 point Iron Bowl lead and then got skull fricked by Auburn in Tuscaloosa? Didn’t he quit before the clock ran out?

So you are still going with the narrative that’s what killed the SWC?

Wow.
