He was born in 1988. In that year, A&M won their 5th straight against Texas. Since that streak started, A&M has a winning record against them.

He’s also 1-1 versus Auburn. Lol.

What a fricking tool.

Only successful run in TAMU history is marred by a cheating scandal that resulted in a bowl and TV ban in 1994. Together with SMU, killed the SWC.

Nice try. You dickmouths killed two conferences, already.

And everyone was cheating in the 80s/90s. Including your beloved longhorns.

I’m sure you’re the authority in fairies.

But this isn’t make believe. It’s well-documented.

What he said is true. Auburn is currently, and has historically been, second banana to Alabama. It's just the way it is. The fact that it's an unpleasant truth to some people doesn't make it any less true.

All that cheating. The bowl bans. The TV ban. And all you came away with is this meaningless stat.

Birmingham is lucky to have McElroy and Cubelic on WJOX. Even mid June they’re talking college football.

I don’t rank schools based on football, but I do realize what this board is.

Who would not say Auburn is second to Alabama?

Is Auburn not 2nd to Alabama? You have to show your work to get credit.

Indeed it is true. And even in the brief moments A&M managed to string together a few in a row against the longhorns, they (horns) were/are still considered the 900# gorilla in Texas. Sane Aggie fan here. I don’t necessarily LIKE it, but it’s just reality.

Same goes with auburn vs Alabama in football. And why would anyone expect an ex Alabama quarterback to say any different.

But isn’t that the whole point behind what Billy is saying? Just because Alabama is the classic powerhouse in the state, doesn’t mean auburn shouldn’t strive for and expect championship caliber teams of their own. Thing is, they have actually managed it a handful of times, even in the modern era. To think A&M can’t and shouldn’t expect the same is just juvenile shite talk. Regardless of the lack of success. They’re taking the steps and demanding the standard. It just hasn’t come to fruition.

The whole “you’re a second tier program, not a blue blood, therefore you are fated against ever succeeding” is a nonsensical stance. Why play the game at all then? Just give the handful of blue blood programs out there a trophy each year and get rid of athletics entirely.

No way you're an Aggie, far too reasonable.
