As much as I hate Tennessee, I think they have (barely) enough integrity not to touch someone like Briles. Auburn, on the other hand, has been known to get so excited at the opportunity to hire a no-class coach that they actually forget to fire the one they have first.

Not every school can have Mike Price as their head football coach.

I hope to Christ we'd stay away from that after our questionable hires lately

I sense I have touched a nerve. "A hit dog will holler," as they say.

I think it would be funny if (and this is a big if) Sumlin got canned and A&M hired Briles. Think of all the Texas saltiness and changing of positions on how they feel about things that would happen.

Do not deflect from Ole Miss. It's their day

Deflect? Oh no, my friend, I'm laughing along with everyone else.

When you don't have anything of substance, insult their grammar or declare yourself the winner.

Who has AU hired that had a shady reputation ? I love how the posters jump over the cliff with the few bitter posters (mainly bammers). The only one close would be Pat Dye, and his reputation was based on his association with Bear Bryant.

it's just a pot shot, please try to take it in stride
And don't worry, it's just a matter of time before someone from Auburn posts something unflattering about UGA
it is the way of things...

we'd honestly (and not in the hugh freeze version of honest) be one of the last. j long got hosed by petrino, he's not going to get himself into another position like that.

Briles has seen his last sideline as a Div I football coach.

I think it is overblown, but it is the school of Jetgate, the way they hired Tubs was shady, Trooper Taylor, and Bruce Pearl to name just things since 2000.

Jetgate was not an NCAA violation and Tubs wasn't hired in a shady way. Trooper was an assistant coach, there is not a program in the SEC that doesn't have someone on staff with an equal reputation. Pearl was a last chance for a dying program, but he was hired two years removed from the NCAA Spotlight.
