I remember reading the MSU message board and they said he'd be the 10th best QB in the B1G

I'd agree. Highly under-rated QB.

I had almost forgotten being told how great Connor Cook was and that we hadn't faced a "NFL QB" like him all season.

BA was so good.. teams were fighting over him to be their last pick in the draft, in the sixth round. So good.. he didn't even make first or second team All-SEC. So good.. Hogs lost five games his senior year. Again, by Arkansas standards, he has to be GOAT and best in the country.

I'm getting tired of rantards saying otherwise when they probably watched only one or two Arkansas games last year

Who exactly is wasting their time bashing an Arkansas QB that won a total of six SEC games in three years as a starter? Haven't seen one person downplay his remarkable SEC career. Not once.

Don't think NFL draft position has anything to do with how good a college QB somebody was.

Nick Marshall (undrafted, plays CB), Zach Mettenberger (6th round), AJ McCarron (5th round) Aaron Murray (5th round) and Connor Shaw (undrafted) were all very very good college QBs.

Think again. Timothy Tebow and Jonathon Manziel were drafted in the first round, solely based on their collegiate performance.

.........and those picks were universally looked at with skepticism and turned out to be terrible picks.

And still, those guys were very good college players. College isn't the NFL.

Those are just a few examples of many, that were drafted based on their collegiate performance. College isn't the NFL but it is a prerequisite to the NFL and to argue that your performance isn't factored into that process.. well, is silly. I understand your point and we're both right in a way but the fact remains.. If BA was all that and then some in college, he would've been more coveted by teams on draft day. We are talking about Brandon freaking Allen. No one in their right mind would consider him to be one of the best QBs in the country. Other than a desperate Arkansas fan, who is trying way too hard to be noticed for something. He wasn't even 2nd team All-SEC.

The reason BA wasn't a higher draft pick had nothing to do with his performance. It was the fact that he has little hands, is short and doesn't have a huge arm. His game basically reached max potential in college.

He quietly had a very good career.

Shame he wasted it at Arkansas.

There are plenty of examples of college players, especially QBs, that tore it up in College and went 5-7 round or undrafted.

That doesn't mean they weren't very good college players. BA had a hell of a season and was one of the best QBs last year without a doubt.
