Like it or not - Brandon Allen was one of the best QB's in the country in 2015

I'm getting tired of rantards saying otherwise when they probably watched only one or two Arkansas games last year. Yes, Brandon Allen was one of the best QB's in the nation last year. You may not allow yourself to believe it, but that doesn't matter.
He had the highest QBR in the entire nation playing in the toughest division with better defensive play than any other division or conference in the nation. That should end the discussion. But I know some rantards will say QBR is voodoo or that Allen simply benefited from being a "game manager" in a pro-style offense, similar to Bama QB's. Well, QBR is not voodoo and Brandon Allen was a fricking playmaker.
Just some examples of how he "game managed" Arkansas:
Against Ole Miss: 33/45 442 yards 6 TD 0 Int
Against MSU: 30/43 406 yards 7 TD 0 Int
Against KSU in bowl: 20/26 315 yards 1 TD 1 Int
And if that's not enough, Brandon Allen was one of two QB's who earned the Manning Award Star of the Week twice last season https://www.allstatesugarbowl.org/site884.php).
I wish I didn't have to make this thread, but some people refuse to accept reality or educate themselves before shitting on their keyboard.

I agree with you. He was a baller last year.

It worked with that system . Is he one of the best in the country? If you count being in the top 10-15 being the best ? That answer will be yes
Posted on 7/24/16 at 11:54 am to Jon Ham
He was very good in that system.

He's gone now and Arkansas will suck.

It seems weird that you would argue this right before the new season starts. Are you trying to convince us that his loss will be a considerable setback? I kind of think it will and agree he was underrated

I'm on here quite a bit and I haven't seen anyone talk about BA. It doesn't even matter, brah. AA is the guy now, let's talk about him. Can he work the pocket, can he find Sprink or Morgan on 3rd and 8 to save a drive, and can he hit Reed on a deep go. That's all that matters
Posted on 7/24/16 at 12:01 pm to JesusQuintana
System? You mean pro-style, which is the toughest system for a QB to run when it comes to passing? If we want to take system into account, that's just another point in BA's favor. He didn't sit in shotgun 95% of the time throwing high % quick screens half the time like so many college QB's do nowadays. He had to read defenses and make all sorts of difficult throws, including rolling out to his left on play action fakes such as this - LINK

Brandon Allen was very very good college QB. Great touch, great ability to move around inside the pocket and throw on the run, got better every year. Anyone who says otherwise is a rantard.

I agree with this.
When he first started playing I was unimpressed, but he matured and became a very good SEC QB.
Anyone else saying anything different is just kidding themselves.
Will his brother be as good, the jury is still out.

Yes, I mean the system that Arkansas runs.
Was it that hard to understand?

You were the second person to state BA was good for the system. Usually when people qualify like that they're implying he's a system QB, meaning he's not a great QB on his own but that he simply benefits from the system.
