Pretty good math for a Bama boy!

That makes zero sense. Our defense is one of the best in the country and we have an outstanding group of WRs. Our issues are between the tackles and at QB. If either of those improve we would be the most complete team in the conference. Big if's, sure, but the reality is Ole Miss is very talented this year. Look at the 2016 mock drafts already being released. We could have four first round picks.

Top heavy, no depth. See Ole Miss last year for a lesson on how well that works in the SEC.

I predict a slow start, including a beat down at Alabama on 9/19. Even if Ole Miss settles in, the last 5 games of their schedule pose a difficult challenge -- A&M, at Auburn, Arkansas, bye, LSU, at Mississippi State. I doubt the win all 5 of those games.

Still, Ole Miss could win the west as a two- or three-loss team, realistically.

I like OM's chances as well but their QB performance next year is a pretty big "IF" in this equation. The last time we saw OM's backups perform in real competition was the Arkansas game.

Given that performance, tell me why fans should be optimistic about the QB position this fall. Plus, I still can't get the TCU disaster completely out of my mind. It was one of the worst fb performances by a quality football team I've ever viewed live.

I mean if it didn't happen with Bo Wallace.... I highly doubt Chad Kelly, Kincade, or Buchanan will carry Ole Miss to a SEC West Championship. Matter of fact, I won't feel good about Ole Miss QB situation, until Shea Patterson is under center.

When did Bo Wallace turn into a good QB?

That, plus Treadwell's comeback, plus the elder Nkemdiche's comeback, plus replacing two best DBs (one with a JUCO "field corner" who has no SEC experience, one with a sophomore safety who has 10 tackles to his name).

And even if all those ifs end up working out for Ole Miss, there's still the fact that Ole Miss is a little soft up the middle.

With your history of predictions, I'm guessing Alabama's another lock.

Auburn collapsed down the stretch. No depth on defense. Plus you lost Marshall and Coates. Auburn is in the same boat as Ole Miss, IMO.

Most SECw teams are unknowns which means Alabama wins again.

I agree that is the most likely outcome. They just have the most talent right now. I do think there are some intriguing teams out there, including Ole Miss, LSU, Arkansas, and Mississippi State. The first two have a lot of talent but need improvement in specific areas in order to be complete teams. The third is probably less talented but playing very well as a team right now. The fourth has one of the best athletes in the league playing QB so anything could happen.

I think A&M is fricked. I also think Auburn is fricked the more I think about them.

Auburn will be have a good enough offense to make noise. They'll run the ball well per usual.

It makes perfect sense. You're Ole Miss and Ole Miss doesn't win divisions in the SEC.

You have a handful of elite players and several solid ones but you don't have the depth that the top teams like BAMA, AU, LSU, UGA. You SEC peons get some good players and suddenly think you can win, but you don't understand how important depth is in this league.

If you don't have good QB play then you don't have the type of offense or team to make up for that. You need an elite QB to truly compete.

Who is your RB? Thats huge in this league to be able to run the ball and consistently pick up first downs

He had his moments..... But I'm saying, I doubt any of these current QBs will be better than him.

I guarantee that we win at least 3 of those games.
