I for one believe that Ole Miss will win the West this year if we can get some stable QB play. If Ole Miss doesn't win it, it'll probably be LSU since Alabama is on the decline.

For the East, I see it going to either UGA or most likely Mizzou again.

Let's see, that makes...

(carry the one, divide by three, add four...)

ONE. One person believes Ole Miss will win the West.

I honestly really do like Missouri's path to another East title. If they protect their hometurf in games against USC, UF and TN they'll win the East. UGA's West games are just too tough for them not to have at least 2 losses with them not having their QB situation figured out.

Ole Miss surely has a ton of talent but their QB situation seems like even more of a cluster. I really like Auburn's chances in the west, personally. Alabama will be tough and Ark, LSU and A&M will all have their moments.

I think the Miss schools take steps back.

Seems like you're insinuating UGA isn't capable of winning the east. We've won it twice the past 4 seasons. We also average winning the east once every (less than) 3 years since Richt has been here.

How many times has ole miss won the division?

Your QB play will more than likely suck, but even if it's good there's no way Ole Miss wins the west

Too many question marks about Ole Miss after a very lack luster end of the season last year to put them in as favorites. If they get better QB and offensive play then they will make their presence known in the West for sure.

Georgia has the most talent in the East and if they can finally put together a season where they don't shoot themselves in the pecker once or twice they should be in good shape. They have to beat Mizzou though, especially if Georgia loses to Bama.

we will do that because our QB play should be wildly inconsistent the first half the year, if not all year. Our defense and rest of the offense should be very good to great though.

we're 2-1 against them since they joined and beat them by 5 touchdowns in columbia last year.

I think west comes down to the 4 teams below.

Alabama - b/c it's Alabama and loaded with talent, but games at A&M, at Georgia, and at AU will be tough and questions at secondary
Auburn - b/c shouldn't see too much of a drop off on offense, defense will definitely be improved, and a favorable schedule. Going to be how much improved the defense is.
Ole Miss - if they get solid QB play, will have an even better defense than last year. Games at AU and at Bama will make this tough.
Arkansas - could be the Cinderella team this year. Need to find replacements for key defensive players they lost. However, schedule will complicate things:
A&M
@TN
@Bama
OPEN
Auburn
Cupcake
@Ole Miss
@LSU
Ms State
Mizzou

UGA won't have any problem with Missouri at home the problem is the rest of their schedule is much harder than Missouri's line them up in order of hardest to easiest and see how much tougher UGA's is.
Combined Schedules (UGA-MIZZ)
1- @Auburn - UGA
2- Alabama - UGA
3- @Tennessee - UGA
4- @Arkansas - Missouri
5- Miss St - Missouri
6- Tennessee - Missouri
7- UF (JVille)- UGA
8/9- USC - Both
10- UF - Missouri
11-14 - Kentucky and Vandy - Both

Then you throw TN's in there who is consider the other East contender and you see how easy Missouri's is.

Combined Schedules (UGA-MIZZ-TN)
1- @Bama - Tennessee
2- @Auburn - UGA
3- Alabama - UGA
4- @UGA - Missouri
5- @Missouri - Tennessee
6- UGA - Tennessee
7- @Tennessee - UGA
8- @Arkansas - Missouri
9- Missouri - UGA
10- Arkansas - Tennessee
11- @UF - Tennessee
12- Miss St - Missouri
13- Tennessee - Missouri
14- UF (JVille)- UGA
15-17- USC - All
18- UF - Missouri
19-24 - Kentucky and Vandy - All

That makes zero sense. Our defense is one of the best in the country and we have an outstanding group of WRs. Our issues are between the tackles and at QB. If either of those improve we would be the most complete team in the conference. Big if's, sure, but the reality is Ole Miss is very talented this year. Look at the 2016 mock drafts already being released. We could have four first round picks.

It won't be our year barring a vast improvement in the offseason. 7-8 wins in the regular season is probably our ceiling. I would not, however, be surprised if we play spoiler to someone. Ole Miss probably loses a game to someone they shouldn't.

Which means it should be a dogfight between Auburn and Bama. If, and its a big if, the defense is improved I like Auburn's chances at the end of the season with it all on the line against Bama.

The only two teams that will be in contention for the West this year.
