Russell but Trent is currently on a team and could have a great come back. SO I think your Aubie colored classes may need a rest for now DA

After his rookie season, Richardson was voted by the players as one of the 100 best players in the league

After his rookie season, Jamarcus outweighed the average NFL defensive end.

The last thing richardson signed was a new contract with the Baltimore Ravens. The last thing Russell signed was probably a receipt at Applebee's, and I bet he didn't even leave a tip

Aundray Bruce is the answer. Number 1 overall pick for the Falcons.

I actually thought about adding him to the list.

Well that's just not true. Making money has nothing to do with being a bust or not. Living up to expectations does.
Until his NFL career is over, he can't be considered a bust.

That's the same as LSU fans saying on Nov. 5, 2011, that Alabama was finished and LSU would win the national championship.

Why not?

He was a bust in Cleveland, the team that drafted him

He was a bust in Indy, who traded for him.

He's a bust

That is literally not how the definition of bust has or ever will work. And your comparison makes absolutely no sense. Like, none. Are you high as balls right now?

When a team takes you in the first round and trades you away based on you suckin shite through a straw, you're a bust. Plain and simple.

Yea, Trent may resurrect his career in Baltimore, but he was a Top 5 pick. Unless he becomes a Top 10 NFL RB he is a bust.

I like him, I hope he resurrects things and becomes a 10 year NFL vet with a place in B-more, but he is a bust based on his draft spot.

Could Bo Jackson be considered a bust?

He only played 4 years and 38 games.

515 carries for 2782yds.

Of course I don't think he is. Not by any stretch. I honestly think he's the greatest athlete of the last 50 years. However, look at Trent:

Played 4 years.
614 carries for 2032 yds

Obviously Bo has better stats but Richardson is getting one more chance.

Most people thought Ingram was a bust as well.

Those stats aren't even close to each other.

That is 99 more carries and 750 less yards in the same amount of time. Good lord. Richardson was also the third overall pick.

And Ingram wasn't traded away to then fall flat again. I mean...

Trent Richardson sets another Cleveland Browns record, passes Jim Brown for most yards as a rookie

For a second consecutive week, former Alabama running back Trent Richardson put himself among elite company in the Cleveland Browns franchise's history.
By clearing 50 yards -- and counting -- today against the Denver Broncos, Richardson passed Hall of Famer Jim Brown for most rushing yards as a rookie. As of the midway point of the third quarter, Richardson had 950 for the season. Brown had 942 in 1957.

Last week, Richardson passed both Eric Metcalf and Brown for most rushing touchdowns as a rookie. Richardson currently has 11, which ranks second in the NFL behind Arian Foster (14).

Richardson has appeared in all 15 games this season, but he's played through multiple injuries, including broken ribs.

Some of you Gumps are borderline pitiful. Anytime someone doesn't sing Bama's praises you take it personally and burst into tears.

Now post his stats from the next year, bold it. Also post an article where they traded him, and bold it. Then post his stats at Indy, and bold it. Then post where Indy let him go, and bold it.

It's absurd. Every major school that has high caliber and highly drafted players are going to have busts. It comes with the territory. Law of averages, even.

Spot on, you are absolutely correct.

I feel sorry for both of them.

Yea, there is no defense for Trent's career. He had an average first year, a terrible 2nd year split between CLE/IND and a terrible 2014 in Indy.

He even admits he wasn't doing the things he needed to do and that it was bad. Not really any way to defend it.

He is on his last shot now.
