How bad will the meltdown be if Harris plays well early in the season and then Les decided Jennings must get playing time after he's reinstated?

You mean like 2011?

"10/+ win seasons since 2000/QB yrs out of high school:

01/5th yr
03/4th yr
05/3rd yr*
06/4th yr
07/5th yr
10/3rd year*
11/ 5th and 4th year
12/4th yr
13/5th year

Sub 10 win seasons since 2000/QB yrs out of highschool:

02/3rd yr*
04/2nd yr and 5th year
08/ 2nd yr
09/ 2nd year
14/ 2nd yr

Russel struggled a lot but showed flashes in 04. Similar to Harris last yr but he was a year ahead of Harris in his system. Experience is literally everything for a QB. I know there are exceptions but you can't look at our recent history and expect otherwise. Hopefully Harris and Jennings both play better with another year under their belts.

Basically you can't miss multiple years of evaluations on QBs. Perilloux being dismissed, zach lee choosing baseball, Stephen rivers evaluation, no chest gunner Kiel...

We haven't won less than double digit games w at least a third yr guy (RSSO/JR) since 02 when mauck went down. And we haven't won double digit games with a QB under 3 yrs in the program in that time frame either (FR/SO/RSFR). "

^ old post but seems relevant.

Great post. If history serves as any indicator, and Harris is the starter, LSU is in for a long season.

All the more reason Jennings' frick up is a big deal.

The same thing can essentially be said about that team for the last five years. They have struggled at the position and it was not for lack of talent.

Thanks. Just something Interesting I found when looking through our recent history.

I haven't given up hope on a great season though. there is always that year that breaks a trend (MSU last year). And I'm hoping we break the trend w a young guy winning rather than an older guy losing.

No reason to worry about LSU if Jennings is QB.

You should Youtube the '07 college football championship game and see what happens.

it's OK to hate us bro. we certainly hate you.

as far as our trash talk goes; c'mon, there's no way we are even in the same ball park as aggy's or hogs. yes, we are in your face and obnoxious, but we will still drink with you and pick up the tab.

Saban's team won. Miles was gift wrapped the championship that year

Weird. You would think a school that hasn't won a conference championship this century would consider that to be a significant accomplishment.

Oh OK, so he doesn't need to run out of the tunnel now, it just needs to be his team? Got it. Keep us updated as you keep changing your mind

Another LSU fan relegating their definition of significance to beating A&M

Not at all. We just find it funny that of all the things Aggies brag about, the only institution where it is warranted is your education program. And yet- your educational system has ill prepared you all to admit or accept that LSU and Les Miles owns you.

He really didn't. Chavis bitched out at such a horrible time, the best guys were gone. We could have had Muschamp.

CLM got who he wanted. He was not going to pay $1.6M for Muschamp. Steele was the first guy interviewed. Bebe was not even interviewed for DC. CLM sat on the plan until the dead period was up because without a DC he was able to contact recruits during this period. As soon as the dead period was up holy moly we had an DC and new DL coach... imagine that.

Several other people got raises due to this opening like Clemson DC.
